And as always...how is writing this month? I think steady productivity is gone until springtime for me. The weather is all bleak and gloomy, and each day feels better for sleeping in and hiding under blankets than going out and being an active contributing member of society. Blegh. Inspiration comes and goes ;-;

I took a break from studies to job search this month, and as a result have had a couple of weeks to waste a lot of time in between job searching moments, so I've done all sorts of purchasing and scattering and re-dressing of dragons and... It's probably a good thing I'm usually too busy to waste so much time on this game! I, uh, scattered 12 dragons yesterday, which is only the latest of my meanderings about this past week.
Took a job offer, then the company backed out after signing the contract and... now I'm looking at two new job offers, and not sure which way to go. Love the indecision that every February brings.

Ahh, yeah, I think I'm still re-learning the forums... XD Amazing how one little red top bar disappears, a few buttons are added, and suddenly it looks like a foreign country. I see the post now though! Not all early writing ideas have appeal to Modern Day Us, so I'm glad you've gotten a new lair lore you're happier going forward with ^-^
I like the idea of the hotel entertainers! My lair is wandering, so I'm usually pretty intrigued by seeing what stationary clan lore people can come up with. That means jobs and stuff, which I think takes a pretty big deal of thought to work out for a large number of dragons, especially when they're supposed to work at the same place.
40 dragons sounds like a great number :D
I'm at 105, don't go there, it costs too much food. I'd definitely be up for looking at some lore ^-^ You've already got me curious about the new clan ideas!
As for your new breeding pair projects, best of luck~ >.< Have you got a scry you're aiming for?

MawkishMuse - I am probably annoying the Patrons of Dragon Share with my thread over there (RNG was being so nice to me!) with the dragons I scattered. I thought it'd be nice for me to have a single place to look at everyone, though in retrospect maybe I should have put it in Challenges forum now that it's going to be a massive undertaking to gene the dragons. (uh, along with all the other dragons I have). After I finish scrying these guys, I'll stop posting there and maybe either ask to have it moved or create a new one over there in a month or five. I'm a 6 Digit Collector, and am finally more or less finished with my collecting, and so now am now in the "ok, let's make these guys the right colors" stage of my collection.
Oh! I know all about the "Sorry, Mario, but your Princess is in another castle!" process of universities, jobs, and countries. I won't ask which university you're applying to, but may I ask what you're hoping to major in, or do you know yet? As for my 'unfound princess,' I want so badly to get a long term resident visa here in Korea, but the country has basically put out a carrot in front of the proverbial horse. It's almost impossible to actually achieve any visa other than a visiting or specific working visa, except for those who marry Koreans.
But, yeah, my trouble now is that one of these schools is a really well reputed private school that I've got a decent offer for. The other one is a part time job, but with hours that actually permits me to both go to university on a slightly more full time and secure basis as well as actually have time to study... And, again, because I need a working visa, basically the company owns me, finding a job like that at a really nice location is HARD. The obvious downsides would be having to struggle with time management and money issues. It's one of those situations where I need to decide if it's worth "spending money to make money", or if it will even be advantageous to me in that way or not.

The art department looks harder to get into, and compared to art, I'm honestly more in love with writing as a lifelong job (it's a running joke that my backup career is to become a starving artist. Not a great backup, so I'm giving writing all of my love and commitment right now).

@MawkishMuse currently it's all notes, except for my clan bio blurb! at first i was apprehensive at completely dropping all the things i'd started with, but then i started in on the notes with how my progens met and was like "ok this is 100000x cuter than i originally had never mind goodbye old lore i won't miss you" XD i'm also super into the notes style i'm writing in (it's like a mix between bullet points and a script), and am super not feeling writing it traditionally. i may never do so.
the whole large number in one place bit was a part of my previous struggle. i'd had about 70 dragons and could never come up with a reason for them to be there past about 30. that's a lot of dragons to just "hang out". that partially caused my big purge (the other part was tiring of seeing so many similarly colored dragons, and the lack of lair space) as well.
that's also why i'm limiting myself to 40 dragons, and i'm still not sure when/if they'll be added to my lore. i'll have a couple pairs that will likely make the "ACTUAL PERMA" cut (a pair that i don't have due to breeding cooldowns, and then my cream/sanguines) pretty easily, and then if i can come up with some more ideas i like for others then they'll be "safe" from my potential purging later on LOL. i'm also being incredibly selective (to a point) with new dragons, so i'm less likely to go "nah i'm sick of you YEET".
as for my sweet darling creams? i [i]of course[/i] have scries! i found the pair on accident by narrowing down my saved "new dragon" search (which is already "WC only, these specific genes only lol) to cream primaries. they were there and i was like "oh cool a set of siblings!" and then i was like "wait that one's light and the other is plague" and then i was like "i wonder what this boy would look like with wasp" and then i loved him. then i wondered how closely he was related to the girl i thought was his sister... AND THEY WERE UNRELATED.
i bought them both immediately.

the whole large number in one place bit was a part of my previous struggle. i'd had about 70 dragons and could never come up with a reason for them to be there past about 30. that's a lot of dragons to just "hang out". that partially caused my big purge (the other part was tiring of seeing so many similarly colored dragons, and the lack of lair space) as well.
that's also why i'm limiting myself to 40 dragons, and i'm still not sure when/if they'll be added to my lore. i'll have a couple pairs that will likely make the "ACTUAL PERMA" cut (a pair that i don't have due to breeding cooldowns, and then my cream/sanguines) pretty easily, and then if i can come up with some more ideas i like for others then they'll be "safe" from my potential purging later on LOL. i'm also being incredibly selective (to a point) with new dragons, so i'm less likely to go "nah i'm sick of you YEET".

of course have scries! i found the pair on accident by narrowing down my saved "new dragon" search (which is already "WC only, these specific genes only lol) to cream primaries. they were there and i was like "oh cool a set of siblings!" and then i was like "wait that one's light and the other is plague" and then i was like "i wonder what this boy would look like with wasp" and then i loved him. then i wondered how closely he was related to the girl i thought was his sister... AND THEY WERE UNRELATED.
i bought them both immediately.
