Nestled deep within the Starwood Strand lie the ruins of an ancient city long forgotten by both dragons and beasts alike. The ruins are not abandoned though; much to the contrary in fact. The clan of Arkayna has long called this secluded city their home.

The overgrown cobbled streets have been trampled into dusty footpaths by the residents who walk them every day. Everywhere you go the city is littered with vendors and merchant stalls. The less dilapidated ruins have come to house many stores and laboratories, as well as schools and homes and taverns. It is a vibrant city, full of life and noise.

These ruins have been inhabited so long by the clan that one might even think that they weren't actually abandoned, but instead were just a result of an ancient dragon civilization. Long before most of the clan can remember, the matriarch and her mate began the Arcane City on their own, welcoming any and all who wished to make it their home as well. Over the last few centuries, the ruins were transformed from a small shanty village to a sprawling and renowned city full of diplomats and scholars.

Clan Arkayna has many alliances across all of Sornieth, and has even formed treaties with some of the small beastclans in the surrounding area. There are now even a few harpies, centaurs and maren living within the city boundaries.

big 'ole dragon nerd. i love skydancers and tundras in particular, and my pastimes include spending large amounts of treasure and gems to adorn said dergs with silks and jewelry.

i also work full-time and attend university part-time, so I tend to have an on-again off-again relationship with FR, but I always end up coming back.

Hey this lair is absolutely stunning. I love how you can load your dragons up on apparel but never make them feel overcrowded. It all looks natural, it all works! I was caught by how gorgeous certain bright-winged dragons looked like Moonrain, Roseus and Leon, but I'm most impressed by Thayn, with his leaf gembond that looks just like boils. I thought it was a skin at first!

I'll definitely come back and check out more of the lore here whenever I'm in that Starwood Strand kind of mood :)
