Harlequin & Bicolor
Similar to to the Paint/Piebald gene pair, Harlequin and Bicolor give off the coats of bicolor cats.
Unlike Paint/Piebald, however, the "white" part of the coat will consist of a lighter color shade of the spots.
Bicolor cats:

Critiques welcome!

I love this!! I really wanna like piebald but I can’t!! This, however, I could get behind!! My only suggestion to it would be to maybe make the lines on the pattern thinner and darker to stand out more.

Oh. My. Goodness. I absolutely love it :0 Definite support.

How about this: fish scales! Displayed on a Tundra because they are the least scaly regular breed. I really want a primary gene that doesn't darken the base colors, but shifts the hue instead. Similar to Iridescent. Depending on the color, it can be more or less vibrant and contrasting. Here are Auburn, Spearmint, Ultramarine and Pistachio.

I want this gene so bad. I also like the concept of shifting the hues instead of darkening the base color. This might actually make for a neat gem gene!
Dang, this looks fantastic!

Awesome~~~!!

There's not much of a grand fancy concept behind these really, and I'm not too tied down to the names of the genes either. Honestly, I just started doodling shapes on a wildclaw, and liked the direction that it started to go in!
Of course, I couldn't help but play around and try out different colour combos too. :D The colours were eyedropped from seraph.
Also, not sure if I should post this again in the secondary gene suggestion thread...? :T

Big time support. It could be a really lovley thing for a budget Constellation or just. A stunning dragon. I’d love to see it.

HUUUUGEEE support - that's gorgeous!

Branching, dendrite-like fractal pattern genes, please! This would be awesome for tree/leafy/plant dragons, lightning dragons, plague dragons with a veiny theme, even rock dragons. Veined is a cool gene, but I want a matching primary and secondary! Something like these:

I made a thread for it but I might as well just crosspost this here :v
Just a concept for either an updated or just a completely separate counterpart to IriShim that leans more into the play of color you see in real-life iridescence!

This is a gene I would support for sure! It reminds me of the Winstone dragon statues. https://windstoneeditions.com/product-category/dragons/

i think a gene based on the rhino viper or gaboon viper would be cool
they are very similar body wise in patterns so i linked both and if devs like this they can pick one or merge the concepts
pics from wikipedia links above

what would happen with a two tone color like lapis or radioactive

Maybe an acidic or poisonous green pattern or a leopard pattern?

@StormWind7201 I'd say we already have genes like that! Color is based off of, well, color, and not genes, so a Radioactive-colored dragon would probably get you the green you want as opposed to any specific gene.
For poison/acid, we have Poison and Toxin, and Skink and Spinner. Also Smirch as a tertiary!
[item=primary gene: poison][item=secondary gene: Toxin][item=primary gene: skink][item=secondary gene: spinner][item=tertiary gene: smirch]
While for leopard print, we have Jaguar and Rosette, and Leopard and Clouded.

As you're pretty new, I'll just point you to the Scrying Workshop, where you can check out all the genes and colors FR has to offer!
