Leopard shark pattern!!
Okay hear me out. We have some far-out genes (sludge/slime looking at you).
Is it too much to ask for a patched/stitched gene set? Making your dragons look like soft plush buddies? I don’t have a concept drawn up but here’s some items I was looking through the database for ideas.
[skin=22021] [skin=16360] [skin=22195][skin=33516]
[item=worn pincushion] [item=Stuffed mith] [item= Stuffed Alstroemeria Fox] [item=soft lightweaver idol]
[item=Pinpush mirror doll] [item=Four-eyed Phylactery]
Edit: Staff heard me.

Gosh can I add a vote for this and the watercolour gene idea, too?
I'd love to see the longer hairs turning into waving fins!

How about this: [b]fish scales[/b]! Displayed on a Tundra because they are the least scaly regular breed. I really want a primary gene that doesn't darken the base colors, but shifts the hue instead. Similar to Iridescent. Depending on the color, it can be more or less vibrant and contrasting. Here are Auburn, Spearmint, Ultramarine and Pistachio.

I think this could be a great gene for other dragons in general as well.(I don't know how/have an editing program to do this to other dragons to find out, but I think this is a great idea for a gene!)

i REALLy love this idea. it would be sooo cool!!

This looks amazing! It would be great for the gem markeplace!

[color=#41960c] [font=duality.ttf][size=3] It would be pretty cool if the idea of snake genes were expanded since there's an extremely wide array of snake morphs to choose from, such as-

And last but certainly not least-

These beauties are called Goldenchild Pythons, and they possess this kind of rainbow sheen resembling oil on water or bubbles. the "underlying" pattern is also very beautiful, and all-in all makes this snake absolutely stunning. Even the pattern of white and brown on the lip and head is stunning.
Now I don't how this could be done on an artistic level, but it is just a suggestion that I think will be amazing on FR dragons.
I mean, anything inspired from this would be pretty neat! I wish I can add art to conceptualize these better, but unfortunately, I kinda don't. But I think it can be easily understood what I'm trying to explain here. Anyways, these are just simple inspiration images. Thought these would be pretty cool as genes once I saw them on snakes. Any criticism and remarks on these ideas are welcome, by the way.

I'd really like something like this. Works better on fur than expected. Please staff?

Primary Name: Temple
Secondary Name: Glyph
I don't know if it should be a treasure or gem gene-but maybe if it is made, and polished up-then it might be more clear. I also don't know how the colors might work-maybe it could glow? Or have gradients? Anyways-these genes are kind of based off of magical runes, the runes gene, the light nymph, and Aztec square spiral type things.
(@CATASTIC pinging myself so I know when people quote me owo)

Wow, a lot of people quoted the hell out of this post. But I have to admit, it's neat! I'd love to have a dragon like that.

OH I would LOVE to see something like this!!

I feel like this is kind of busy and would not work with many terts, but I definitely like the idea
[/quote]
I very much like this one as well.
[/quote]
Ooh this is very neat. I think it would work better as a tert though, similarly to how circuit is.

Here's a compilation of some really cool animals with equally cool designs. I might do some mockups on dragons later

I'd love a less messy version of piebald (and paint but that's ot), dunno about the name, maybe splotchy or patches. Let us have cow dragons!

Ooh, I'm green from unicellular algae-- oh wait, is it actually of envy?
