im a little confused. my both entry have the lines and shadows+accent(second one has the base, plan on changing it) in the judging size?
uhh, this my first time ever joining the skin contests(and never made a skin/accent before lol) so i might have done something wrong? i just followed like what i saw others do lol.

For each entry, you posted two judging size images - one with lines and shadows outside the accent area, and one with no lines and shadows at all.
The lines and shadows should be visible on the accent area and [i]only[/i] the accent area.
Here's an example to show what I mean. You can see the official art on the pink scribble but not outside it.

@bioluminosity - Another lovely glowy effort, indeed! The Glowing Eyes in particular suit it quite well. I definitely wish it good luck!

Shadows and lines should only be on the parts that you actually drew on to make your accent. You don't need the lines or shadows for the inside of the wing fin, because there is no accent there.
You do not need to erase anything. Just set the lines and shadows as "clipping masks" to your art layer, and the art program will hide anything outside your accent automatically.
You should end up with something like this:
