Locations
Royal Academy of Devildom
=> The academy is a decently sized building, with a few smaller ones in the back, and a decent field and track between them. Consisting of two main floors, an attic, and a basement, its decorations are dark and spooky yet somehow comfy and warm. The
Classroom for our group stars a skeleton hanging from the ceiling that is (rather lovingly) referred to as Ted. Except for classes that require certain equipment or locations, all classes are held in the same one.
=> One of the semi-restricted areas is the
Student Council Room, where only said council members, faculty, and presidents of clubs have the rights to intrude upon. One might think there are dark secrets here, for such a place to be so guarded... but no it's just a super fancy table, some desks, and a lot of filing cabinets. The horror stories whispered in the halls are because any student who dares intrude without permission... is set to work helping organize those files. Truly, you don't want to risk such a fate.
=> The
Cafeteria is an odd room which tends to only take up space it needs. Tables and chairs appear and vanish as required, and the room itself shrinks and grows. Only the kitchen stays the same, with multiple imps hard at work to create... actually good food! With a changing menu to keep things interesting, some menu items are a miss- but most are a hit. The chances of ending up the infirmary only occur if you dare to order one of the permanent menu items, the one said to set the soul aflame... but since said item doesn't seem to be listed, it's probably just on of those school style rumors, right?
=> It's a
Dance Hall. It's sometimes used for classes, and other times opened for various school events. Otherwise it's just a painfully large room you sometimes have to cross to reach other locations.
=>
Colosseum. Yeah. This is (kind of, technically only adjacent) hell, of course the school has a place for battle. Should two students get violently angry at each other, they could just attack- and get in a ton of trouble. Much better to formally request a match and fight it out within the school rules. There's rumors there's other, darker, uses for it... but no one can really keep to the same story as before.
Devildom Capitol
=> The Devildom is always in the dark. Here, there is no sun; only the stars grant light in the sky. For beings such as devils the dark is nothing to fear and the stars are plenty. Besides, the various shops and homes grant their own light, as do the lamps lining the streets. The
Main Street is especially bright, welcoming all to the most popular shopping spots and eateries. There's little it lacks, so come here for all your needs!
=> If you need a suggestion for the best place in town to eat, however,
Hell's Kitchen is your best bet. Sure there's more expensive places, but not only is this affordable it can rival those expensive foods with ease. The place is always bustling, but rarely does it seem like you have to wait long for a table. There's probably magic involved, with that, but hey, why question good luck?
=> There is only one
Park in the Devildom capitol and it is a sprawling place that (can you guess?) doesn't take up as much space as it ought to. To those who know the paths it's also a shortcut. Enter it one place and you can find yourself all the way across the cityscape. It's said there are even more paths than the public ones- but keeping secret paths quiet is only naturally, right? A helpful card up your sleeve. For the park itself, it varies between beautiful works of art to simple, peaceful walkways. There's even a section with a playground for kids.
=> And somewhere within the aforementioned park is the
Pond. There's no special name for it, nor is it a single pond. The rumors about it say its magical, and surely a place that one can never find unless they're in need is somewhat magical, right? Those who manage to find their way there do not speak of what they found, except for the beauty that lies therein. According to the rumors it grants wishes, healing, gifts and blessings. The truth is shrouded in mystery, and those who know will not speak of it.
=> Despite being referred to as the 'capitol' there really aren't many cities besides this one. Specifically, there aren't any. There are towns, some villages, tiny collections of houses that don't have a designation. In short, beyond the city limits are the
Outskirts. You do want to venture out there without a trusted guide. The wilds of the Devildom are not kind, and few venture without either having confidence in their own strength, or by following the roads.
Demon Lord's Castle
=> Best castle in town and where the Heir of Devildom lives. For the safety of the non-magical human exchange students, they'll be staying here too. Also, yes, this IS the giant castle in the middle of the capitol.
=> Residents: Heir of Devildom, Human One, Human Two, Human Three
House of Lamentation
=> Where the Four Demons of the Apocalypse live. Yes, they're also known as the Four Horseman. Yes, there ARE stables out back for said horses. Despite the warm and comfy atmosphere inside, outside it looks exactly like a haunted house. Even has a dead tree decorating the front lawn.
=> Residents: Conquest, War, Famine, Death
Purgatory Hall
=> The official dorm that most students who live too far away to commute stay in. To make sure the exchange students feel properly welcome, the devil classmates have been invited to stay here as well! Grats on the free rooms! (They're all free.) The dorm is set to be divided into several shared common rooms and kitchens, with four to six bedrooms attached to each set, one set per floor. The first floor is a general common room, where two faculty members choose to reside in case of trouble. The amount of total floors depends on the number of residents- though the building itself never seems to outwardly get taller.
=> Residents: Angels x5, Demons x5, Sorcerers x2
