He wants to be dark, mysterious, and edgy on the outside, but really is just obnoxious. He is wildly friendly and a blabbermouth. On top of that, it seems like there’s no thoughts going on in that brain of his or a firm understanding of what’s right or wrong. He purposely does not act appropriately in most situations, making light of anything he can with a joke, tease, or quick remark. Most things he says shouldn’t be taken seriously. He makes a fool of himself often, but hardly seems to care what others think of him. As he rarely worries or dwells on problems, he’s very content with himself and prefers to just go with the flow and avoid his responsibilities. Silt doesn’t understand social cues very well, especially sarcasm. He doesn’t know when to quit or what barriers there are, and will definitely get in anyone’s personal space. Also, he is never one to turn down a bit of mischief. Silt has a huge fascination in human slang, he’s studied it extensively. And so, he will spit out as many slang terms as he pleases. Including but not limited to, “bussin,” “bro,” “lmao,” or “cringe.” Even outdated slang isn’t safe from him, such as, “groovy,” or “bodacious.” For some reason he believes it makes him cooler and that humans use a lot of slang in normal conversations. Silt usually means well, but can be a bit much to be around. He values his friends greatly and isn’t afraid to shower them with affection and hugs, or even protect them with his life. Abilities/Skills: - Enhanced senses of sight, hearing, and smell. He can also “taste” the air, like a snake. - Is capable of summoning balls of burning black flame. - His black blood is flammable. - Can walk into shadows and become but a shadow for a short amount of time. In his shadow form, he is intangible. - Silt has a scorpions tail jutting out from the back of his head. He can sting with it, inflicting a venom that is acidic enough to melt most metals. - Quick regeneration, can easily heal himself over small injuries but not larger ones. - Silt is capable of digesting almost anything, and will occasionally try to eat things that are not food. - Physically, Silt is quite strong and hard to topple over. Weaknesses: - Silt is not a very intelligent individual, he’s dumb as rocks. He’ll jump to conclusions and not give things a second thought. - He’s loyal with friends to a fault, if you tell him to do something ridiculous or dangerous, he’ll do it, basically no questions asked. - Sensitive to light, especially bright areas can cause exposed skin to emit smoke then eventually burn, this does not exclude high amounts of artificial light. Thus, he carries around an extra cloak in case this happens and always wears a pair of sunglasses. - Impulsive and an adrenaline junkie, Silt loves to do dangerous stunts which could make him run head first into danger. - Because of his enhanced senses, he can get overstimulated. Usually this means that he is uncharacteristically agitated and may snap at people. In worst cases, he’s lying on the floor or hiding under a table. - Impatient and gets bored easily. - Almost alway hungry. History: (I may add more to this later, but here’s the basic premise) Silt’s parents were unable to take care of him at the time, thus he was orphaned and abandoned at a young age. He wasn’t by himself for long, a lesser demon took him in as its own. He has little incentive to find out who his real parents were, as he hardly remembers them anyway and is mostly content with his life despite technically being in poverty. Other: - Yes, his nickname is after a type of dirt. - The tip of his scorpion tail is retractable to avoid accidentally stinging anyone. - When excited, the scorpion tail may wag like a dog’s. - The sin that Silt seems to exhibit the most is gluttony, as he has a voracious appetite, chews on objects, eats things that aren’t even food, and is almost always hungry. Appearance: Silt has a muscular build with broad shoulders. He stands at 6’5” with grey colored skin and pointed ears. A simple pair of horns sit atop his head, he has claw-like black nails, a forked snake tongue, and jagged sharp teeth. Hidden behind his dark sunglasses are half-lidded golden eyes and long eyelashes. Starting from the back of his pure white hair, a large scorpion’s tail juts out, it’s colored a gradient from white to black beginning to end. Typically, Silt wears a form fitting light brown sweater and a cropped collared dark purple-ish grey jacket. He sports black bell bottoms and brown heeled boots which add an extra inch to his height. As for jewelry, he has fake gold dangling earrings and a septum nose ring. I do not know how to make the image smaller sorry :(

Please keep in mind that my logic permit has expired and that the 76th color of the alphabet in the exact time of a parakeet eating a pie in June is equivalent to a giant whale-eating cantaloupe allergic to a chair made out of potato salami held by a sandwich that has beetle hands.

Personality: Grass is green, the sky is blue, and Hana has compulsive habits of pick-pocketing and lying; these are the fundamental facts of the universe, and Hana certainly isn’t going to be the one to apologize for them. She’s forward, shameless, and impulsive, with a desire to do anything without consequences, or at least, consequences that she can’t get out of, though whether that’s through skill or bootlicking is debatable. If you need someone to lend an ear, she’s willing to listen, and maybe a bit more than that, but expect to pay your dues when she invites you on a playdate scaling to school’s vaulted roofs weeks later. If the idea of this scares you, be prepared to meet the iron fortress of the world’s poorest debt collector, but if it’s something more, then perhaps Hana is willing to be distracted by the promise of a hot meal. There’s something scarily perspective underneath all those layers of bravado, not that it’ll ever be set towards changing; Hana likes who she is, thank you very much. Abilities/Skills: As one of the academy’s young criminal wards, if there’s something illegal you want, then Hana has got your back. Or rather, you don't; not if you’re a target anyways. Hana’s a master of distractions and disappearing acts with lies so outlandish that your best interest is to agree, or suffer the trash that spews out of her mouth. Alternatively, if everything goes south, she has a habit of appearing up many feet above the ground. Ravenhearst has a few more tricks up their sleeve. Disintegration of varying degrees into smoke, rats, and birds; the ability to split pain between their composing entities, to restore and revive their vessel provided that one of them survives, and understand the body language and chittering of most critters; broad magics related to sensory or sickness; and the ability to eat almost anything without getting disgusted or ill. Weaknesses: According to a very long list compiled by her acquaintances on the street, Hana has many faults such as a horrible academic record, an inability to fight outside of scratching and biting, and a stench that carries the faint undertow of sewage. Further inquiry, possibly encouraged by magic, will reveal that she shows a general incompetence towards sorcery of any branch outside of a plague spirit’s doman, in addition to a habit of booby trapping her hoards and attracting almost every insect or rat in the area with the scent of her wards. Unrecorded and unknown are her fears of water and rain, such that she rarely showers, and her incompetence in aerobic activities with lungs that take in just a bit too little air, imperfectly shaped by Nosoi hands. History: They say that everyone’s got parents, but as far as Hana is concerned? Nada. She’s from the parts of the city that tourists are warned about, with pretty scenes and dangerous streets. Still, home's home, and if she met her Nosoi after an accident that left her slumped in an alleyway, then that’s really only her business, isn’t it? She left her household soon after that since she was spending less time there than on the streets, dropping out of high school and signing some shady lease. From there, you can say her life went uphill—or down, depending on who you ask—with the endpoint of Devildom, home of the first school she's attended since sixteen. Strap in, this won’t be a smooth one. Appearance: Strands of limp and stringy hair hang off of Hana’s head, haloing her head in a cloud of frizzy light brown that ends just a little above her shoulders. Her eyes are large and beady and black in all settings but dim firelight, where they flint with flecks of brown and orange, and her ears are a few sizes too large, along with her front teeth. Other than that, her lineaments are plain, with similar thrift store clothes, clean but loose, her stature is a short 5’1”, and she has a skinny build. Other: xhiProbably builds a celebrity shrine in her dorm, much to the dismay of everyone she’s rooming with. Why does she need so much merch? She's only just transferred over, why are the majority of them demons? And why are those demons from niche fan bases that no one likes instead of popular culture? So begins the plot to raid and burn the hoard.

She’s forward, shameless, and impulsive, with a desire to do anything without consequences, or at least, consequences that she can’t get out of, though whether that’s through skill or bootlicking is debatable.

Abilities/Skills: As one of the academy’s young criminal wards, if there’s something illegal you want, then Hana has got your back. Thievery, breaking and entering, and planting things on an unsuspecting passerby’s body—all for pranks of course—if you want anything short of violence, then you know where to find your girl. I'm debating if it would be better to bring in the exchange students in as seperate groups or all together.
Don't want to put too much at once on the non-magical students, but I wouldn't want to put anyone in an uncomfortable position either. I'd also have to decide which group Adola would end up with.

Thoughts?

(also thanks everyone for your patience, the Con Crunch™ is real)

Maybe separate groups would be a good idea? With 10 exchange students (5 angels and 5 humans), I can see potential for people getting a bit overwhelmed if they’re all brought in as a big group right away. I’m cool to roll with anything, so if the majority decides everyone should come in all together, I’m fine with it!

Also, does everyone get their own bedroom, or are they rooming with one or more people?

(No worries! Being busy is understandable! ^^)

If not all together, maybe base the groups on the dorm situation? We have the time to decide what works best for everyone!

Sounds good to me! Maybe each group of exchange students live in a suite together? It would be 3 bedrooms, a bathroom, and a living space?

Name: Faust, ‘Conquest’

Age: ???

Gender:Male

Pronouns:He/Him

Species: Horseman of the Apocalypse

Role: Conquest

Romantic Orientation: He himself has no idea. ((Please feel free to contact me if you wish about this subject ie: a relationship between characters/if wish me to change it))

Personality: A mild mannered and polite individual who seldom seeks interaction, but won’t turn it down. His age and position as one of the Horsemen has resulted in a private nature. He is deeply home-sick for his past in Paradise and he seeks to create an imitation of it through the sciences though remains unknown to most others. He misses the relationship he once held with his siblings but lacks the knowledge on how to approach them. He knows of the heavy burdens they carry and hopes he can lighten them through scientific means.

Abilities/Skills:
Martial Combat: though he claims to have renounced the ways of conquest by force and to have settled into a conquest through science; he still retains knowledge on the use of weapons such as swords, spears, and all manner of stabby and slice-y objects. It may be noted that though he claims to seek advancement, he prefers these aforementioned medieval weapons to modern ones.

Intellect: His pursuit of the sciences demands an intellectual mind; something that he possesses.

Madness: Upon observing Faust's angelic form, individuals note infernal whispers and a pounding headache. Those in his presence at this moment feel a damning need to avert their gaze. It is for this reason he hides behind that piece of paper.

Halo Manipulation: Faust has the ability to manipulate his red halo; manifesting it into a solid object, often deriving weapons from it. He can also manipulate the brightness of its glow.

Weaknesses:

Longing for the Past/Homesickness: His use of swords belines a inner longing he holds for the past paradise he resided in. He misses ‘simpler’ times and revels.

Single-mindedness: In the pursuit of scientific disciplines, Faust often loses track of time and other aspects pertaining to his life and the management of the school.

History: ???

Other:??? ((Will be adjusted as needed?))

Appearance: At a cursory glance, Faust seems human; a rather nondescript one at that. Short black hair tousled in neither too messy nor too neat a manner. A slim build standing at an unassuming 5'8” almost always covered with a long lab coat and a black undershirt and black shoes; truly, a build for the uncanny valley. Upon closer inspection, one may notice the snow-white skin he possesses, and even, the taped-on, sheet of white paper which obscures his face-any attempts to peer under to his face result in failure. A piece of good advice spread from upperclassmen to lower-classmen; do not remove that unassuming mask of his. Upon the removal of that paper, a second form becomes apparent. Six white crystalline wings sprout from his back accented with splatters of crimson along their tips. His hair grows to shoulder-length, and pales to match the color of his wings and skin. His eyes blossom into a crimson color, and a halo-esque crimson ring appears around him which lays bisected into 8 sections.
