Kucca stepped out of his cage cautiously, dipping his head in thanks to the dog who had freed him. The first thing he did was to stretch out, his spine cracking/popping quite loudly. He looked back expectantly at his sister, waiting for her to join him. Once she was out, they nuzzled each other briefly before walking towards the other dogs near the door.

Cheshire trotted over to the door. "Is that everybody?" She gave the assembled dogs a long look, taking them in, filing the information she saw for later use. That was what she did. She observed and took notes. And later she used that information.

Everything had been fine. His owner, Edwin, had passed a few months ago and Arlo had learned to survive on his own. No one had come to the cabin for him and he was all alone. He cursed his hungry for betraying him. He cursed the world for taking his Edwin. The large shepherd had turned his head away from the entrance of his kennel. He refused to greet the workers or talk to his cell mates. He didn't have anything to say. Solitude helped the time pass. The rattling of the latch on his door didn't startle him. He had gotten used to ignoring his captors. It wasn't until he heard the scuffling outside that grabbed his attention. Raising his head from his paws, he locked eyes with another shepherd. She had opened the crate with her teeth. His eyes widened in surprise, why hadn't he thought of that. Climbing to his paws, Arlo followed the girl out. [/columns] ---- [columns] Maverick pressed her belly to the cold, metal floor of her crate. Resting her chin on her paws, she listened to the dogs around her. At least she wasn't alone. She missed the farm. Ruby was supposed to have puppies soon. Maverick wondered where the mother dog had been shipped off to. Hopefully somewhere nice. Letting out a sigh, she closed her eyes. The canines on either side of her began to whimper, a rustling outside alerted her to what was about to happen. The dogs were setting themselves free. Lunging to her feet, Maverick rushed to her door. Biting onto the latch, she began fidgeting with the clasp. The metal was cool against her gums. Her tongue grew tired and her teeth were sore. Just a little more. The click of the lock was music to Maverick's ears. Stepping into the artificial light, she felt a serge of excitement as she looked at the dogs around her. Cheshire looked up. "We have to go. Before they come back. We will only get this chance once. They will replace the latches with ones harder to open." She looked at the dogs seriously. Her tail tip twitched anxiously. She yearned to be running, running over the snow. The crunch of it underfoot was music to her ears. But she was inside, standing on linoleum tile, under a flickering fluorescent light. There was no justice.

*His jaws lock onto the door handle and opens the door.*
"Ok then. I've opened the door already, let's go. I'll attack and distract those humans if they come by."
*He was focused on getting out of here for his sake. Mirzam's tail hung low as he kept highly alert for any sign.*

Bear followed closely behind Mirzam, his nose twitching as he tried to find the scent of any nearby humans. If any were foolish enough to show up he would be the first to rip their face off. He had done the same to dogs in the past, a human would be no different if not easier to take down. The shepherds long nails clacked against the floor as they snuck through the building.

Cinnamon twitched and looked around, slowly following in. She kept herself in the middle just in case. She crouched down and moved through the dark hallways. She felt a strong alcoholic come into her nose. A soft whimper filled the Australian Shepherd’s throat as she stopped moving.
Vance grunted and slowly made his way to the front of the group, keeping his nose low to the ground. He caught wind of a strong scent and hearing some-dog in the back start to whimper.

The big dog shifted himself infront and stopped. Vance peeled his lips back and watched with deep eyes. He watched as a human swaying his hands to the side walked by the hallway, not even paying attention to them.

*Mirzam stopped at the smell of alcohol, his head staying low. He hears a faint whimper in the back and stayed still. He watches a human staring at the ceiling just swaying their hands and walking by while not even noticing them. Drunkards. He wasn't gonna bother them unless that human notices. No need to draw attention right now. He continues on, it didn't seem like the human was going to hear the faint clicks of the claws tapping the floor as they walk.*

Cheshire curled her lip at the intoxicated human and snarled silently. She did not approve of dampening one's senses, though it did help their chances of escape if the rest of the humans were like this. Which she doubted. She slipped to the back of the pack, gently herding the dogs in the right direction if they got distracted. Satisfied, she slunk stealthily to the front of the pack, pricking her ears for the slightest of sounds and lifting her nose to the air.

Vance peered over the hallway and followed after Cheshire, his tail slowly flipped throughout the heavy air. He made sure to look over the hallways before walking into them. He hoped that he could avoid anymore humans, but life was never that easy. “How are we going to get out anyway?” He asked as his deep eyes gazed over to Cheshire.
Cinnamon twitched and slowly followed after the group. That scent brought back a bit of bad memories that she wished that she could just forget. She realized she was getting behind and quickened her pace. She reappeared on the side of the group as her eyes drifted around. The Australian Shepherd’s head soon perked up when she realized that she was going to be out in the wild very soon.
