These lands are strange enough, but then there's this clan I just found. Travelers supposedly come by often, though usually by mistake. Blizzards in their area are harsh and often last a week or so, as I've found myself in.

They clearly have many secrets, none they are willing to tell. And to make it worse, there's that dreadful feeling of being watched. Why is it so prevalent here?

The dragons here don't even acknowledge your existence unless you interact with them yourself or make a ruckus. With their personalities just as harsh as these blizzards, they take their rules seriously too. Break even a small one and suddenly ice shards are surrounding you.

I've certainly learned one thing, never ask questions about the Shade. They don't like it, that's for sure.

On that note, I'm glad to be leaving the clan soon now that the blizzard has passed. I still feel like I'm being watched though. I really wonder why?

This is a mass lore/rp clan. I never exalt, so don't worry if I bought your derg of the AH. Also, I would love 1x1 roleplays! And since I have a lot of dragons that need lore, ideas for them are also nice! I also do traveller requests, giving your dragon yet another tale to tell. Clan-wise, if one of my dragons have lore but no backstory, they were most likely one of the OG clanmates.

There is a cold sensation covering your scales. You're shivering, for an unknown reason. It's difficult to open your eyes, and when you eventually do, your eyes sting from the freezing powder that cover them. As you shut you eyes and begin to blink rapidly, you're never quite sure if your vision comes back fully. It is as dark as when your eyes were closed. The dune you sit in is cold, freezing. You can't feel any of your appendages and limbs. It's eerily silent other than the wind. You attempt to stand, finding yourself mostly buried in a dull, grey barren as soft, thin layers fall off your face. You watch the flakes falling quickly from the sky, a howling wind following. You can hear several layers of cracking as you pry an arm free to dust yourself off. Thankfully, the frozen layer was thin, and you found yourself trying to stand. It took moments of readjusting and stretching, your limbs were numb from the temperatures, and your wings were hard to lift from the ground.
As you hardly regain balance and some sense of warmth in your fragile form, you pick up on a melody drifting through the heavy currents. You peer behind your shoulder to see a faint orange glow. There are several things surrounding it, but it is hard to make out in the flurrying white. You begin to step closer, slowly, one foot at a time. You almost stumble into a tree as you watch your feet, trying not to fall. The trees, which appear to be evergreens at first, are withered and naked. The music reclaims your attention. The soft notes are clearer, and the silhouettes of things form to possibly be four dragons, appearances still unknown to your tired eyes. You come closer, shuffling from tree to tree. You do slowly grow more numb, but you could also feel the heat radiating from the fire ahead. A cracking sound could be heard, the music had stopped playing. You could see the four black-colored figures clearly now, a large undertide that was circling around the group with a black drool, a skydancer covered in black stained bandages and a bone crown, a coatl wearing bird skulls of many types & draped cloths, and a pearlcatcher with a white cloak and white clothes, holding a small flute. They are all staring at you, and you can see now, in the campfire light, that you have stepped on a branch. The skydancer grinned.
"Our special guest has arrived."
"You must be so very confused and scared."
"Join us for a feast, my friend."
They all spoke in order except for the undertide. You backed up, only to find that you can't. Something is stopping you. The skydancer approaches, black streaks swirling around him while he smiles.
"Don't be shy, you seem like a nice guest."
"You're very cold, aren't you?"
"We offer a better life with us."
Your magic began to feel so much weaker than it already is, like it is draining from you. You trip onto your back somehow, despite not moving. Suddenly, streaks of black began to surround you too. You can't move. Fear has paralyzed you. The black streaks slowly get thicker, jaws of spikes stretching out from the blackness and pulling at you. There is no pain. It is all too numbed by the freezing cold. The combined laughter of the four dragons is the last thing you hear before the bubble of black closes around you.
All of your senses suddenly come back as it closed, sudden pain jolts through your body. Adrenaline rushed through your veins as you violently struggle to no avail, screeching for help. Your words never reached any ears, you can't even hear yourself in the deafening silence. You can't see anything but yourself, practically glowing in the shrouding darkness. You feel a great deal of pain as what is likely tendrils of the surrounding void pierces into your limbs. Your scales, feathers, and fur turn black, your third color becoming white like the dragons from before. Voices from seemingly everywhere begin chanting, in and out of your mind. "One of us," you hear, "One of us," millions of voices repeating in different tones and pitches and accents, "One of us," it slowly gets louder and louder, "One of us," you try to push out the noise, but it was near-impossible, "One of us," you want to claw at your head, but the black maws are holding you back, "One of us," pain was jolting everywhere the blackness grabbed, "One of us," the pain faded, and so did the voices. A distorted voice then says loud and clear in your mind,

"You are one of us."
