Nebulae looks at the squid, it's not a pirate, but it DOES seem to be guarding something! It seemed to be sleeping, so she poked it gently with a claw to see what would happen. The squid woke up with a start, and hurriedly swam away from her, must be her tough looking exterior, or it had heard tales of her battling prowess in the coliseum, and didn't dare challenge her! (Ooor because he's a piece of seafood, and Obbies can eat seafood- "Don't eat me!" ha ha! She wasn't hungry enough yet, so she let it go.) She's actually very nice when not in combat mode! (I dunno, like Shonen protagonists??? I.E. Izuku Midoriya from MHA, and the Kamados from Demon slayer! Sweet until they need to be in battle mode, then bad donkey in said battle mode! *Aether wink* Though, because she looks tough, and is level 25, some are a bit intimidated. Briar helps with that though, he assures others that she's sweet as a Strawberry Noggle!) She swims closer, and shines her purple colored head lamp [item=Fuchsia Deepsea Bulb] (heh incidentally Shadow colored like her mate- I see you ha ha! Oh, and the squid too! [item=Ragesquid]) on what was left behind. Her headlamp illuminates: a [item=Primordial Chest], a [item=Barnacle-Encrusted Bottle], and a [item=Tarnished Doubloon]! Score! Wasn't any pirates here, but Nebulae was happy! She swam back to the surface, treasures safely in her bag, she wondered what her partner was doing. ----- (Oh, oof, on my part, Briar is blind- unless he wasn't and wears the sash covering his eyes by choice? Taking it off to explore? He can't exactly do the Toph Beifong seismic sense underwater- or could he? Hmm... Ooor he was blind, but maybe through magic he can "see", either his own magic that's always with him, or one of Sunset's best mages cast a temporary spell on him so he could see.- Like anon magic on Tumblr ask blogs perhaps! I kinda forgot to re-mention that as one can't be expected to remember every derg. I'm not sure what could have been done there!) Briar wanders around the caves, noticing the lush plant life that grew around him. He remembers eating [item=Seaberry] as a hatchling with his hatchmates, Marisol standing guard over them, making sure they didn't eat anything that would hurt them. (I'll pretend Obbie hatchlings could eat plants! Like how kittens can drink milk, but adult cats can't!) His stomach starts growling at the thought of food, so he hunted for a few [item=Chalcedony Craylet] for himself and caught a few to bring back to Nebulae. On his way back to the surface, something white caught his attention. It was a rather stunning specimen of [item=Blue Quartz]! He decided to grab some for Nebulae, maybe someone could make a necklace or something for her! ----- They reunited at the hot springs, resting there until food called their name as they went back to that same ramen shop. (Prolly owned by that blue and pink Spiral, she's cute! And I WAS actually picturing a Spiral serving them the other night- we're on the same brainwave ha ha!) The two weren't bothered by the other dergs, they simply needed to relax as they're very busy at home. (We don't have hot springs, or at least if we did, they aren't like Simera’s ha ha! She's very pretty btw!) Later they joined the others at the campfire, listening to the stories accompanied by the crashing of the waves below them, the soft lilting of the flute, and Aurora's voice melding perfectly together. When the stories were done, they hobbled tiredly off to Blight's hostel, signing in with the Ridgeback before heading to a room, where they both collapsed onto the modest bedroll, Briar resting his head on Nebulae's back. Nebulae is usually quiet, but she snores like a mimic lawnmower! (Ha ha!) Briar is a quiet sleeper, and is unbothered by his partner's loud snoring. (Yes, I'm having a blast! Hee hee! *Aether beaming smile* I'm glad! It would be awful if the host wasn't having any fun- goes for Sunset and Mudpuppy as well! Sure! You can use it if you'd like! I was gonna have them use bowls with all the flight symbols on them, to promote unity between the elements since Sunset and Mudpuppy's children can come from lairs of all types, but settled on a simple design with single emblems adorning each bowl! Thank you for hosting this wonderful event!)[/center]

Montoli steps back, surprised. That's a lot of relatives! Chioni, being a wolpertinger, doesn't really understand much except for Verdigris's tone of voice, which isn't anything in particular of interest. She remains perched on Montoli's shoulder, munching on some treats Montoli got from the plant stand for Chioni earlier.

Montoli scratches her head, thinking about how she was related to Deimos. "Er.. I'm not entirely sure myself, but I'm fairly sure he sees me as a friend, co-worker? Chioni's his stalwart companion, his familiar. Ah, now I need to ask him how he views me." She sighs. "Nevertheless, maybe I'll go see Cobalt - he's the guy who's doing the combat challenge right? Maybe I'll go a few rounds..."

Cinder calls, her voice tight and anxious. "We're missing some!" He does a headcount. There's one perched on the undertide, one wriggling in his paws, and a third with Cinder. No sign of the other two. What a nightmare. "Um. He seems to like you. Would it be too much trouble to ask you to watch him? Hahnu smiles softly as she ushers her family off towards the cliffs as the sun begins to set.
"I heard there would be a special event tonight, stargazing I believe. Shall we go and see? You've always been quite enthused with the stars Diin Viidost, it should be fun yes?"

"Perhaps. I wonder if the stars look much different here than back home. It was quite a trek so I would hope so..."

The young aberration raises one head to the sky, seemingly quite enthused by the idea of seeing the stars from a new perspective. Without another word he takes to the skies and heads for the cliffs where he can see other dragons gathering for the event. His mother soon joins him atop the cliffs, settling in for the show and scanning the attendees for anyone she might recognise.

As his mother settles in Diin Viidost stands beside her. He doesn't sit immediately as they are in the back row, eyes turned towards the beautifully gleaming stars above. After a gentle tug from his mother's tails he sits beside her nestling close to her warmth earning him a smile from her.

"Perhaps you might find a friend during the festivities?"

He blinks at his mother.

"Friend? Whyever would I need friends?"
"There are some things only possible with the help of another."
"But I have you and father. And... I guess Krah Okaaz as well."
"You have us, yes, but even though we are your family we may not always be able to help you. There are some things only those outside your family can assist with."
"Maybe... I won't promise you anything though mother. I see no benefit to it."

At this Hahnu sighs softly.

"Very well, at least you'll give it some thought. Ah, the show is about to start let's be quiet now."

The two turn their gaze skyward as they and the others around them grow quiet in anticipation of Aurora's tales.

As the other two depart for the stargazing Hauvulon and Krah Okaaz wander down to the beach for a swim, as the do they notice a rather strande sight to them. Two undertides a nocturne and an imperial all chatting away merrily with numerous onlookers. Hauvulon ever eager to meet new faces sidles over to see what's going on. As he stands nearby, tails twitching in anticipation his daughter points to the sign the imperial and nocturne are sitting under.

"Dad I don't think this is important to us..."
"Nonsense sweetheart! These dragons are your cousins right? Why not introduce yourself! There's no harm in saying hello is there?"
"There's no guarantee they are... Just because they are at the reunion-"

Their arm is swiftly grabbed by their father, dragging them forward before they have a chance to protest further. He grins as he drags his daughter towards the others.

"There's no harm in asking! Besides! We could always ask about the rather dashing undertides could we not? I think I remembered Hibiscus saying she was looking for a partner!"
"Dad I'm fairly sure she meant a hunting partner not a romantic one... Also what would mum think if she heard you saying such things? She always tells you not to stick your nose into other people's business..."
"Relax! It'll be fine! Besides we don't get to have fun like this often~ What your mother doesn't know won't kill her!"
"Yeah... 'Fun'... Sure dad... That's what you said about the Thunderstomp Rodeo..."
"It's not my fault they were being so obnoxious when I tried to wrangle them!"

The younger aberration sighs and lets themselves be dragged over to the other dragons before being over enthusiastically introduce by their father.

"Hello! My name is Hahvulon and this is my daughter Krah Okaaz! They are a little shy but don't let that bother you they are very sweet I promise!"
"Dad!"
"Anyway, my mate Hahnu, and our children are all a part of this wonderful family of yours! You are part of Sunset's family yes? I mean, I would assume so given you're here at the reunion yes? Anyway, I thought we'd come say hi and introduce ourselves! Also I must admit, I'm a bit curious about this 'Undertide Matchmaking' that you have set up here, what's it all about?"

Krah Okaaz facepalms with a small sigh, both their heads hanging in obvious mortification at how blunt their father is.

Jelly reluctantly waved back, then heaved a sigh as Toadleg scooted off. He dragged himself over to a map, and tried to make sense of it.
Library…library…library… Jelly thought, searching the map. It took a few minutes, but he found the library on the map. Taking one of the extra maps, Jwlly set off in the direction of the library.
