Sylvan blushed, dipping his head as he thanked the Imperial. He collected the gifts behind him and steadied his nerves. This would be the first time he'd ever preformed in front of creatures other than spirits, though dragons... maybe they weren't that different?
Pulling tight the last string, he glanced around the gathered dragons, then closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He plucked at the strings, testing their sound.
He took a few more breaths. Then he began.
It started softly, quite humming accompanying the subtle sounds of his instrument. As the music rose, his humming became singing. His music wove through the air, his voice conjured images of quiet forests with a gentle breeze. It was in a different language, but others understood.
It was peaceful, a much different feel from the energetic festivities going on. Even as the image shifted, becoming that of a powerful creature running freely though the forests, as untamable and wild as the wind, some feeling of peace still remained.

Nimbus has never had her fortune told before. She's seen plenty oracles and fortune tellers and mediums in her travels, but there was never a chance to stop by one to see how it all worked. Settling into a more comfortable state, Nimbus decides to take the leap and ask the bright Imperial to divine her fortune for her. For a moment, she thinks that it can't possibly be full of bright futures and good luck, but then banishes the thought with a head shake and a steely determination to live a life she enjoys. "Here goes nothing," she says as she approaches the Imperial. "Excuse me, miss? Can I have my fortune read if you have the time?"

It seems casual at first, repetitive even, but then she catches it with her tail while pulling out two more balls to juggle with, and the performance begins. First there are simple tricks. She makes a few throws while reaching under one leg, she throws high and catches with her tail, she crosses her arms and does a little dance. Then her assistant, a huge dusky imperial, begins pulling random items out of a bag and tossing them to her, and things start to get wild. Soon she is juggling a tracker engine, a chunk of iron ore, and a bottle of unicorn dust. Somehow, she doesn't miss a beat, though her hands are kept very busy. She tosses a few items back to her assistant as he continues to throw things at her, keeping a rotation going. The pearlcatcher herself is also rotating, stepping in a circle as items continue to fly through the air. A geode, a hunk of prehnite, a Wind runestone, and a stuffed mith doll all make appearances. She kicks up her heels and does a flip. Somehow nothing falls. Perhaps she is using Wind magic to help keep everything in the air, but nobody could begrudge her a little cheating when she is juggling six live pillbugs and balancing a clay pot on her nose. As the pillbugs mercifully disappear back into the imperial's sack, party favors make an appearance instead, and she juggles with each for a few seconds before tossing them out into the crowd for guests to catch. @Enen16106 "Well, it certainly wasn't as busy as it is now!" she replies, passing on another gift for his growing pile. @Self She isn't missing any, but Lylo seems to have gotten a few from somewhere! Probably completely fine. Probably. @wetdog15 "Indeed! I predict that you will receive another gift very soon," Tla says, grinning mischievously as she watches the pearlcatcher aim for Arrow. @MinnowFox The pearlcatcher finds some more tea to stock Frost's stand with and tosses it in his direction. Smells nice! @Zytorian His clanmates might find it funny, but the pearlcatcher approves! At this party, there's no such thing as being overdressed. She tosses a few party favors to him specifically. @GuardianDragonak The pearlcatcher applauds him in between tossing trinkets that land at his feet. What wonderful music! @Sylphiette Tla grins. "I predict more fun in your immediate future! You might want to duck." @voidbeast Ezekiel will be rewarded for his faith with a few more prizes coming his way!

"Almost two years and next to no messages? We've been worried sick about you!" "Slow down there, Hraekon," the Ridgeback soothes. "We all know how you can be, Hurricane. Always out looking for adventure!" Hraekon huffs. "Still doesn't excuse leaving for literal years without so much as a note." he grumbles. Hurricane laughs. "Oh, it's good to see you two again! How are things at home? I hope you're keeping everyone in line."

Catching the Pearlcatcher's eye, she waves in appreciation and then begins to scan the immediate area for a food stall. She's definitely starting to feel hungry in spite of all the distractions. She decided to splurge on a jasmine-and-juneflower pudding and wasn't disappointed. Once her hunger was sated, she purchased a sack of toasted grasshoppers to munch as she continued to explore the sights, sounds, and smells of the Jamboree.

"yesyesyesyesyes," the faes eyes glow with enthusiasm. "Do you think she will teach me how to do that?" Lylo laughs deep in his throat and smells his silks once more before replying, "hmmmm. He grabs it by one of the main crossbeams, frowning at the flopping of the other crossbeam; even without having finished it the kite is obviously not airworthy. A fae next to him cries out in excitement, thrusting a newly completed and beautifully detailed kite into the air, a sudden gust sweeps the kite into the sky, the giggling fae dragging along behind it. As Solas moves to place the remains of his butchered craft back on the table a hand stops him, a female skydancer bedecked in various wind regalia hands him two pieces of dried bamboo with a look that says "try again." Solas blushes and places the bamboo pieces perpendicular to each other as the instructor had told him the first time around, he struggles to keep them in place as he ties the ribbon to hold them in place, slippery bamboo sliding against the slick silk ribbon. The skydancer reaches over with her other arm and easily ties the knot firmly and securely and Solas feels the warm blush creepy from his cheeks over the tips of his ears. Solas peers over his shoulder as she steps away, the skydancer returns only seconds later with a pot of glue and brightly colored paper. Ignoring his apparent confusion she silently holds the kite frame and shows Solas how to paint the frame with glue and wrap the paper firmly around it before tying a long length of ribbon to the frame. The resulting kite isn't exactly beautiful, the paper is slightly rumpled and smeared with extra glue, but it is complete. The skydancer remains cryptically silent but is clearly proud of him; she gestures for Solas to throw the kite into the wind and as the kite swoops in the breeze Solas feels his own heart soaring with it. She looked at all of the activities that she could do and walked towards a mask stall. The sign told of a mask-making competition. Delta smiled. She had just come from painting a kite, so her creativity had had a warm up already. This mask would be amazing! She grabbed a blank Skydancer base from the pile and a paint brush, dipping it into a light blue paint jar. When Delta was done with it, the mask was light blue with yellow feathers on the edge of the Skydancer face. A twisting vine-like pattern was painted all across the face, circling around the eyes with a flourishing finish. She smiled as she admired her work. She sure hoped it would win, but even if it didn't, it sure was fun to paint! She handed the mask to the friendly Bogsneak behind the stall and told him her Clan name that he would give the mask to when it was done. She then turned around and looked for more to do.
