Though she didn't speak to anyone, even as she jumped over one or two other dragons who happened to stay into her path, it was clear she was having fun.

He sat near his friends and looked at the strangely calm Miwa. - [i]I couldn't come earlier because this lil' bird would have made me mad and I didn't wanted to be in a negative mood before the parade. What miracle happened so she stopped being annoying?[/i] - [i]Oh, I just used some very convincing arguments...[/i] - [i]I see.[/i] He waved at the fae. [i]Hi Nitsky![/i] - [i]You aren't too late[/i], whispered Nitsky, [i]there is still a lot to see and so many more favors to get.[/i] Gobber smiled. The dragons were all beautiful, especially that bright coatl! What a lady!

That would teach Flamecaster to play with his magic and not pay attention to his surroundings! She turned her back--noting her Coatl Clanmate in passing as Aquamarine juggled something in her paws--and flitted through the crowd on her way to find some food. The Parade was amazing, as usual, and the Nocturnes were absolutely astounding with their mimicry of the Mirrors and Spirals....but the Fae's stomach was rumbling. Just as Titania spotted a vendor, she was distracted from her quest by a roar of acclimation form the crowd. Turning around, she was just in time to see an enormous Float move by--and to catch something that was flying straight towards her....[/I] (Aquamarine and Flamecaster are a bit curious about what they caught....)

So many brilliantly painted parts, with little glowing highlights. She had needed to head back for the night, but woke as early as possible to race back to the route. It was worth it.

If that was her idea of a clever disguise, she still had a lot to learn. Grinning, he found an out-of-the-way spot nearby and turned his attention to the parade itself. It was just as dazzling as he'd been told it would be and he roared his approval, shouting encouragement to the hardworking crewe.

He hadn't even been sure he would be allowed to come to the Parade, since he had not chosen his name, and was less than a year old, but the elders of the Clan had declared that there was no reason for any Shadow Dragon of the lair to be left behind...and here he was! Back in the lands of his birth watching the parade Twilight had told him so much about--and boy was it everything she had said it would be, and more! He trembled with excitement, staring at the brightly colored Spirals as they wove among the other dancers in their silk finery. Were some of them using magic to make things even better? He wasn't sure--his own magical abilities were still somewhat erratic and he had not yet learned how to sense other energies--but regardless those Spirals were beautiful! Settling back on his haunches, he watched one particular dancing pair that reminded him a bit of some of his fellow Clanmates. They were weaving around each other in a undulating pattern so complex it caused his eyes to water as he tried to follow it. He was so fascinated by the two Spirals he didn't see the object flying from one of the Floats passing by until almost too late.....[/I]

Hatchlings clung to her and her sweater, angling to get a better view. She angled her staff to give them more places to perch and shared her sugar shrooms. "You're in for a real treat, younglings," she rumbled. "And I think the parade may be getting better every year!"

Twilight settled back on her haunches, watching the Parade as it marched by. She smiled in fond memory of her time here last year, touching the necklace she wore. That had been an unexpected gift from her favorite float the year before, and she had never taken it off since. The sound of drums and swishing of wings caught her attention, and the youngish Guardian rose to her feet, craning to see what was coming. The sight of several flickering Nocturnes caused her to laugh in delight, but that was nothing compared to the Imperial that came next, weaving a beautiful illusion of a set of five dancing dragons--or was it only illusion? Hadn't one of them just winked at her? Twilight leaned in closer, trying to see, just as something came flying through the air straight towards her nose....[/I]

The shadow imperial looks on with a slight confusion but a bit of awe as well as he witnesses for the first time in his life the festivities of his home flight. Khelouin, at the very head of the group (and she makes sure of this), revels in the glory of this procession, almost unable to contain her excitement as she urges her clan-mates to look at all the wonderful displays. The hooded skydancer watches with a silent hidden grin, enjoying the daring show the pearlcatchers are putting on, entrusting others to catch the physical manifestations of their very souls. How dangerously exciting! Mikoto, not really one for the theme, still finds enjoyment in the lovely outfits of some of the paraders. The younger, capped guardian scratches down notes and doodles on a pad as he watches the parade. He had never been exposed to his flight's culture, either, but the beauty was apparent. The soft blue glow of bio-luminescence against the deep, shadowy violets was something to behold. The shadowy nocturne flew up above before deciding to rest upon khelouin's back to watch the parade comfortably. A celebration of his own home, and it made him miss it so. Cosmo and the other watched quietly, just sitting back and enjoying the show. The guardian hoped perhaps there were goodies? Komur was among those watching; that is, until he spotted an old clanmate. ((@Canisa Fancy seeing you here =p)) ((Side-note: HOLY COW I didn't know that guardians could be so much heavier than imperials, even those that are older! The heaviest dragons in my clan are the guardians while the largest are the imperials. I guess guardians have a lot of volume.))

Twilight blinked in shock, staring at the handsome Coatl. Was this really the little one she had helped to babysit? She shifted slightly to the right, making room for her old Clanmate.

"Oh yes, I remember! Komur, right?" She glanced at the other dragons with him, and smiled. "The Clan heard that you were doing well in your new home. I'm glad to see that they were right."

The young Guardian studied the Coatl, noting the glowing wings and finery. Yes, this was one hatchling of Emerald's that had definitely done well for himself. Her friend would be so pleased!
