Challenge rules:
On December 31st, you must acquire an egg of your new starter flight.
If you want to choose a new flight, now is the time.
You may buy two scrolls of maturity, new players starts with adult dragons.
Put all of your dragons in the hib den.
On January 1st, 2024
Hatch the egg and go to the Auction House. Find a mate for your dragon.
They must be of the same element, opposite gender, and a starter breed G1. If you can't find a starter breed dragon, you may buy a nocturne or bogsneak and breed change them. If you have scrolls of maturity, use them. If you want to change the name on your dragon, go ahead.
Set your food stocks to "zero". For me, I will fill them to 10,000 and consider that zero. Whatever number works for you. I must keep mine above 10,000 at all times.
Now, vault all of your belongings. Everything. All money, items.
Be sure to cancel all your auctions.
You start with the same things a new player does:
10 lair slots, 2 tabs, 5 hib den slots and 1 hib den tab.
2 nests.
Dragons have 6 apparel slots.
If you want more, you need to buy them by putting money into your vault.
For extra challenge you can relevel Baldwin, by keeping track of xp gained during play. You can also redo Arlo by redoing past plots.
Clear your vista and avatar. You can only use vistas you "buy".
Either you buy it and apply it to your account, or if you already had it, stick the vista in your vault.
You are allowed one free flight change during this year
...and by free, I mean you can go in your vault to pay for it... if you don't have that much money, you may have to take something out of your vault to sell, but any remaining money after the flight change must go back in.
Keep a log of your misadventures. It's up to you how often you want to write. A monthly recap is recommended at the very least.

I'm probably going to do a more tame version. Vaulting my Hoard and funds but keeping my dragons out and "living off the land" I can only use what I gather, get from coli etc. If I want new dragons or apparel, genes etc I have to earn that money

I'm planning on going for everything except the keeping track of food points, it'll just be an absolute pain since my fodder breeders are staying in my lair. I've already picked up my "custom" progen and I'll just have to hope I get lucky with my hatched egg being a female.

I always hate keeping track of attending funds vs personal funds when there's a push, so I'm hoping not being able to vault my money isn't going to drive me crazy. Also, keeping track of my amounts during attending- not looking forward to that.
