I usually give my dragons human names, and I love having names that start with vowels. Plus "I" happens to be the most popular one. Also, none of my friends are named Irene, so they wouldn't think it was a fan dragon of them lol. I have a dragon with the same name as one of my friends already, and her personality is nothing like my friend's.

[columns] In my scry I choose her genes because they brought to mind a sunrise for me. With their combo and colors. I would name her Eos, the goddess of dawn in greek mythology. She looks like a goddess! It takes the "bright, clear" meaning from "Claire" but adds some cool history and links her to illuminated manuscripts, a subject I love, and it's prettier and more immediately understandable than just naming her "Lindisfarne" or "Kells."

Nothing really fancy here, I think I would name her Joy. She is her family's little ray of sunshine.

I kept her a pearlcatcher because they are my favorite breed! I love all the colors in her mane/fur.
{ Challenge Two } I would name her Astera, I have a sorta-greek theme for names in my lair! I think Astera fits my naming theme, and also suits her well, it reminds me of flowers and the sky. A pretty name for a pretty dragon!

Challenge 2

I would give her the name Zenithera.

This fantasy name is made up of two words, zenith and era. Zenith represents her connection to the light flight with the sun at it's peak, while era connects to the hourglass timekeeping theme I described in the first challenge for her genes.

As a fantasy name it would not be pronounced as two distinct words (Zenith-era), but rather like a blending of them (Zeni-thera).

The name Zenithera would connect her light flight origins, sandy desert coloring, and hourglass inspired genes into one unified concept, which is why I believe it would be perfect for her.

I would call her Phoebe, as i've always quite liked giving pets and dragons people names and Phoebe originally meant bright and was used to describe the greek god Apollo, so i think it's quite fitting too!

I would name her Alina, because that is a Greek word that means ‘light’ I really like naming dragons in foreign languages, and the name just seems like it would suit her. :)

In mythology, she also has a royal connotation. I think that's pretty fitting for my original image of her being regal and a protector.
