Dreamer keeps herself small. It's not safe to venture anywhere too difficult, so they wander through the Forgotten Cave looking for useful loot. They find nothing but bruises and junk they can't use. [url=https://flightrising.com/main.php?p=lair&id=440080&tab=dragon&did=51293360]Lambrusco[/url], one of the clan’s healers, accompanie’s Aesop and Shriek through Bamboo Falls, the border of Wind and Water flight lands. Along the way they discover a [item=Wave Slash] which none of them can use and Pinkerton gifts them a [item=Discipline] which Aesop already has. If anybody can use these please feel free to take them. At the summit of Bamboo Falls their gaze moves from teh cool fall-mist valley they've just ventured above, to the arid highland plains behind the falls. Lambrusco leaves them here as they level up to 14, and they are accompanied instead by the clan’s progen [url=https://flightrising.com/main.php?p=lair&id=440080&tab=dragon&did=48055618]Hansha[/url], a L14 scratcher. With two team-mates scratching and sapping the enemies Aesop quickly realises he is the only one with no way of healing himself since they left Lambrusco back at the Falls, inevitably he causes the group to have to restart again without the 4 round XP bonus. He really appreciates what he is missing out on due to his vow of poverty, that empty slot of his would be so useful with an Aid in it, not only could he heal himself but he could heal his team-mates! While they could save their breath for elemental attacks and shreds.

LittlePrincess is mostly calm around her again, so it's not him. She looks around. Nothing. They head for the Sandswept Delta, still not in the mood for serious level grinding. Enemies fall easily. Interesting loot, not so much. While searching along the riverbank for lunch, Dreamer feels the staring creep along her back. She growls, fed up with continued constant attention, and stomps back towards LittlePrincess. His frills shoot up in alarm. Great - she scared him again. He flies right at her, a warning monotone screech rings her ears, and dives at the clump of reeds beside her. He snags hold of something with all four sets of claws and drags it from its hiding place. He dumps the strange plant thing [item=Creeping Tendril] in the open. His frills bristle as he hisses at the creature. Dreamer stops him from attacking the poor quivering thing. It takes a while before the creature cowering before them recovers enough to communicate. She learns it followed them because it wanted to join them but is shy so it stayed hidden. It's kind of cute. Dreamer adopts it and laughs when it gambols around her feet in joy. LittlePrincess is grumpy for the rest of the day. A scroll blowing into his face is the icing on a terrible cake. He drags its off and flicks his frills in irritation as he takes a look at it: [item=Tertiary Gene: Weathered (Gaoler)] Useless for all but Gaolers and good job too. Such a messy gene. [url=https://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=48055618] [img]https://flightrising.com/rendern/avatars/480557/48055618.png[/img] [/url] Partway across the savannah Hansha announced her departure. “I am L15 now, I will slow your progress too much, I will return to Bamboo Falls and send Lambrusco after you, you two can help him level up fast and in return he can heal you both. I will meet you again at Redrock Cove - Aesop you MUST make it your mission to find your own Aid stone in that time - our fate DEPENDS on this! When [url=https://flightrising.com/main.php?p=lair&tab=dragon&id=440080&did=51293360]Lambrusco[/url] caught up with the pair he had a Teardrop Owlynx [item=teardrop owlynx] in tow, proudly strutting it’s stuff. @8fishfin "Daiki and Aito caught up with me as Hansha was passing and they had this armor for you Aesop, and a Dark Might fragment for Shriek - but most excitingly they had befriended a couple of Teardrop Owlynxes and they said we looked so similar and we should hang out more to reinforce that rumor that owners and pets look alike... what do you think?!?" The two did indeed have an uncanny resemblance but before Aesop and Shriek could juxtapose them for long the three were sprung upon by a pair of skiras, and immediately had to assume battle positions. Aesop meditated to build his breath for a magical attack, while Shriek, keen to test his extra Might confidently jumped straight into the battle, drawing first blood from the grassland skira before both skiras struck back at Aesop and Lambrusco. Lambrusco was taken surprise by the attack, his lack of experience apparent, (and his first instinct had been to tuck the new owlynx behind him, not realising it was quite able to look after itself in these matters) but immediately after he absorbed the attack he recovered his center and focused his meditation to build his breath for a quick rebuttal. It was all over so fast, but as a result Shriek was suffering the consequences and Lambrusco began his healing meditation just as a trio of sphinxes crept up on the group, hearing the commotion the skiras had caused. Before Lambrusco could cast his healing spell, Shriek was quickly knocked out, and so was the fastest of the sphinxes, but Lambrusco and he could both feel they were fighting for their lives. He had to expend his breath to heal himself but at the same time Aesop managed to paralyse one of the remaining sphinxes and that was all they needed to gain the upper hand, knocking out the unhandicapped sphinx before it could cause much damage, and healing Aesop while the last remaining sphinx still stumbled, crippled by the force of Aesop’s electrical attack. With the third sphinx defeated, but the trio still recovering from the assault, Lambrusco and Aesop struggled to escape carrying the dead-weight of the unconscious Shriek - they had seen three more sphinxes approaching, and knew they were not up to the task of facing any more enemies in this state.

Dreamer's new friend flits from clump of reeds to patch of grass while following them, still wary. She hopes it will show itself more often when it becomes used to them. It's really cute.
