I've been getting back into the game, and subsequently, writing my lore, so I kinda want to see what other people have going on!
finally i can rant!!
AHEM,
basically, all of this starts back when a Guardian named Deoxyphage set out to find her Charge. originally, she was supposed to go to serve the Stormcatcher- but the dragoness had other plans. eventually she just decided to have a cave as her Charge and, in the process of readying the caves up, found a cast-away male Guardian named Azrael curled up in one of the deep corners of the cave system. the two decide to live together as a pair!
while on a hunt for resources, they find an injured Nocturne named Calendula. Deoxyphage insists to help him as she did with Azrael, and the Nature element agrees! over the days they found more dragons joining them: a pair of Skydancers, a fairly aggressive Imperial and a lost Skydancer hatchling, to name a few.
in the meanwhile, some... other events happen in the world that later affect the Clan. the most important would be the resurrection of General Excalibur and frequent sightings of the High Seraph Zephaniah.
focusing on the first; a few months after the Crackling Skies (Deoxyphage's Clan) were founded, a Banescale named Pharos and his adopted older brother Rubato decided to have a bit of fun trespassing in the Blacksand Annex!... and, as you could have guessed, they stumbled upon the frozen Elders and awoke Excalibur.
about Zephaniah, one of the Clan members' stories was that of her adventure from the Tangled Wood to the Southern Icefield in pursuit of infinite knowledge - the gift of amnesia. in legends the Undertide had read, a Sharp-Eyed Ring would summon an angel. and so she did just that! while it wasn't too intriguing, the plan worked and Extremis could remember anything. one problem though... she can't make it back to her home. the solution? go to the Shifting Expanse!
to explain this other event that is connected, we must go back a bit.
during March, a demigod-like Coatl by the name of Solarizia from the Ashfall Waste had blessed the Crackling Skies- which, is quite weird, considering it was a Lightning-aligned Clan... though, we do not question her reasoning. Solarizia is thought to be the embodiment of the Sun itself by some of the locals in the Fire domain, and this is where it connects to Zephaniah:
a Sandsurge paladin pleading allegiance to the sun was visited by Zephaniah's servant, Stratus. the Cherub had tasked SunRay to visit the Beacon of the Radiant Eye where the High Seraph would give him an impotant task- but to this day, we do not know what it was nor if the Sandsurge actually commited. time will tell...
yet another story in the Crackling Skies would be all the drama going on with the Sandsurge!
let me tell you one of my headcanons real quick: the Sandsurge population on-site is only a mere fraction of the actual population, and they all live in cities under the Shifting Expanse (which sometimes branch into Water, Fire and Light).
now that you know this, the involvement all starts with a mysterious dragon by the name of Excommunication joining the Clan. things happen, he has a nest of 3 with his stalker Electron, of which is one of the daughters of the popular Sandsurge Hurricane and his mate Ether. 2 of the hatchlings were cast out to other Clans of other Domains, but Novelty stayed for a few months. eventually, he got tired of all this nonsense, and ran away in the break of midnight away from the eyes of the nightguard Quradix. the young dragon then fell into a large patch of quicksand in the Charged Barrens, ending in a cave system.
now, let me ask you, what would you do if you found yourself miles underground? i'll assume you'd try to find your way out... but nah, Novelty decided to wander around aimlessly. talk about a way to starve!?
and that's how he found Undragaan, one of the major settlements in the hidden Sandsurge society. somehow sneaking past Providence and convincing Xeo to join, he found himself a new home!
... that is a lot of text. i could go on forever, but i will refrain

OOOH!!! Okay, so, I'll only go over the first tab since that has the most concrete lore. Basically, Naomi of Flight Rising legend had her power sealed away by the deities and then her body was buried under the earth somewhere in the Plague wastelands. However, her magic- her spirit- lives on. And even without the exalts she stole to sustain her, she had enough magic left in her to create an illusion- a false deity she called the Timeherald. With this puppet of hers, she called upon a cult, reaching out to dragons that she sees as needing her "help" or those who would be useful puppets. These dragons, who worship the Timeherald, don't know that their sacrifices are actually going to Naomi's rise to power and not to serve a deity that Doesn't Exist.

I've been writing my lore over here :) But long story short, my clan is being pursued by what they think is the Shade, causing them to flee their home in the Windswept Plateau and become a migratory clan in the Shifting Expanse. The clan leaders (my progens) disappeared, leaving the clan to be led by their son, who has no idea what he's doing. They assume the Shade is attacking them because the queen has a unique ability to teleport to another plane of magic that she calls the Dream Realm, and they think it's lured it to attack them.

Oh, ranting about my lore? Don't mind if I do...
Basically, it all started with this one gifted Arcane user named Xerim. He was able to create a small dimension. Well, it was small until Xerim struck a deal with the Shade, and became really powerful. The dimension got bigger, and was dubbed the Underrealm. He also had a bunch of friends and acquaintances that he tricked into life-long service.
16 years before present day, Vira (one of my progen kids and my first and only primal), falls in the Underrealm as a hatchling. One of Xerim's daughters, Luna, befriends her and helps her survive.
At present day, the rest of my canon progen family, which are Amethyst, Jasper, Plum, Ara, and Quinn fall in the Underrealm. Others eventually fall down too, and they build a closely guarded village called the Haven.
But why is this going on? Because Xerim is powerhungry, thanks to the Shade. He wants to 'share' his creation with Sornieth (Which means taking over the entire continent with his Shade-cursed magic), and is trying to show dragons how good it is by making them fall in. He ALSO is responisble for the appearance of fandragons. He's taken them out of their respective universes and turned them into dragon forms of themselves.
However, to carry out his plans, Xerim needs a conduit, another dragon skilled in Arcane magic. That would be Plum, and now he is exhibiting Underrealm magic and getting dream-stalked by Xerim.
That's just the more important characters, there's side stuff that leads back to this problem. Oh, and there will be a big finale sometime.

Silvally are awesome.

In all honesty, I believe my lore is best experienced naturally. It's told through-out a variety of different profiles belonging to each of the dragons in my lair, as well as my own. You can read as many as you want, come back and put them down again as easily as anything, since each is largely self-contained but with time and reading becomes an interconnected story and web.
The long and short of it is that my lore takes place within a large but economically failing dock town nestled into the Starwood Strand. The primary fixture of this town is an independently run branch of the Tourmaline Archives known as the Starwood Anomalous Research Facility, who documents stories and encounters as an archive on the supernatural of Sornieth on the surface - but below that, is really a scientific research facility dedicated to the containment, destruction, and understanding of various unnatural paranormal phenomenom and supernatural creatures around the known world.
My lore documents the different scientists who work for SAR, the different anomalies they've contained and documented, and the people who live in the town surrounding it. Some of them are harmless oddities or average joes, some of them hide malicious and mysterious intents with the town or the people there, some are tragic and some are simply down right bizarre.
The larger story is told in drips and dregs through the biographical information on these dragons, so what's really going on is left largely up to reader interpretation and a bit of red-stringing.

I’m going to do a full synopsis of my lore, some of which has never been posted in the forums or dragon bios.
Cupcake and Coral, my progens are the founders of the clan and despite being mates often argued about their differing views on the clan’s purpose. Cupcake wanted the clan to be a place to neglected or traumitized dragons to find peace while Coral wanted to create a large army to fight the growing numbers of shade.
While doing a parameter check one day, Coral got attacked by some shade and was completely taken over. This resulted in the creation of Bleached. At first, Coral thought he was completely in control because Bleached’s first plan was to breed dragons in the hibden to create the perfect soldier, but really he created the perfect vessel to take over without being given a chance to fight.
One day, indigo heard the cries coming out of the hibden of the dragons being starved and having their eggs taken away so that only the best could survive. She went to help them, but was caught by corrupted Coral and was locked in a cage. Coral then started a fire in the summer springs in an attempt to kill her so his secret would never get out.
Cupcake went into the fire with my 3 dragons named after deities, Tidelord, Earthshaker, and Windsinger. Cupcake walked up to Coral and was comsumed by the shade. Bleached tried to fool her into thinking Coral was dead but she wouldn’t take it. She used her magic combined with Coral’s to escape the mind prison Coral had been trapped in. Afterwards several water dragons helped put out the fire and Indigo thankfully survived although her wings were injured and she won’t ever be able to fly as well as before.
In the wreckage, a little aether hatchling was found and Cupcake and Coral took it as their own. Although as it grew up, it gained bloodthirsty tendencies that could not be suppressed, a monster had been created and it had no soul.
If you want more, most dragons on page 1 of a tab have some sort of lore or their bios are used for things

I'm playing go fish! | This tab has adoptable dragons! |
Well, my lore is very broad and is supposed to have an ongoing narrative, which is not apparent because I have so many lore dragons.
Anyway, the history of my clan started a thousand years ago on a beach by the Sea of a Thousand Currents when a fisher named Karoon harpooned a legendary sea beast and brought it to shore. In its dying words, it cursed Karoon and anyway who would come in contact with the cite of its death. Karoon didn't listen to the exact wording of the curse because he didn't take it seriously at the time. As he prepared to leave the beach, however, he was suddenly bombarded by horrific visual and auditory hallucinations, which only went away when he went back to the area around the sea beast. Anyone who came into contact with the area would also fall into this trap and be stuck on the beach with Karoon for the rest of their lives to avoid the hallucinations.
Eventually, a small village of dragons got stuck on the beach, building homes from driftwood and living off of fish and seaweed. Several years went by as dragons tried to build a life for themselves under the curse. However, after several years, an idea formed that if they killed Karoon, the original cursed dragon, they would break free from the curse and live freely. Another idea came forth that maybe Karoon's presence was what was keeping them from experiencing hallucinations in the safezone of the beach, and if he died, they would be subjected to the hallucinations permanently. The two organized themselves into opposing factions. The former group succeeded in killing Karoon, but lo and behold, the second group was right. The villagers fell into torment.
A villager named Prismseeker came forth, proposing that maybe there was another safe-zone out there. Desperate, everyone joined together to find it. After several months of horror, they finally stumbled across a patch of land in the Sunbeam Ruins that would become known as The Shining Territories. The Shining Territories was brimming with so much powerful, positive magical energy that not only did the hallucinations go away but they went away for good. Several of the villagers decided to make a home in this land, naming Prismseeker as their leader and calling it Prism Clan.
Several years of studying and experimenting with magic later, they had found a way to tear the land into two different layers of reality. This was pretty extreme and extra, but they did this because they believed that the magic of the land scared away the curse, so if they literally hid under reality, it would never find them. Little did they know that the curse had only gone dormant.
They took the magic from the original location into their own layer and made the layer accessible by crossing through the dark patch of forest. On their layer, they built a mountain of earth magic to live inside. It was enchanted so that it would never fall no matter how cavernous it became.
The origins of the clan are long lost on modern Prism Clan members. They know of Prismseeker and that she led them from a horrible fate, but said horrible fate changes from story to story. It is safe to say that Prism Mountain has been standing since then, and since then, the clan has gone through many ups and downs. But they had reached a golden age in the past couple hundred years where trade was at an all-time high, and scholars and mages came from all around to study within their caverns.
You know, then the Sickness happened, which was a plague that wiped out most of the clan. Only one living dragon knows that the Sickness was caused by magic, and not even he knows that said magic relates to the curse a thousand years before. it turns out the curse had not only grown dormant but the force behind it had gained sentience and had surpassed its original purpose. It was not to give simple hallucinations but cause as much pain and carnage as possible, which it did.
It only ended when the "only living dragon" mentioned before gave it his eyesight as a sacrifice, so it would stop hurting his clan. The Sickness ended as a result of the sacrifice, but in hindsight, it was not as much of a sacrifice as he had originally thought. While one should feel happy about this, it has terrifying implications. If the sacrifice was so small, then there must be more in store for them.
Anyway, there were hardly any dragons left after the Sickness. My progen showed up and promised to rebuild the clan, mostly due to her unresolved trauma. She did that, and the clan has plenty of members now, a lot of misfits, refugees, and former criminals. Prism Clan is portrayed as a place for new opportunities and second chances. While Prism Clan leans more egalitarian than not, it has plenty of problems still, especially with its justice system of throwing criminals into the Abyss. The Abyss is not a bad place once you get used to it. The problem is that there's dragons already living there, and they did not sign up to deal with Prism Clan's criminals.
The Abyss has a lore of its own, which is very bizarre. It's the third layer of reality in the Shining Territories, one that's been around for far longer than Prism Clan has been occupied. It's a dark realm with otherwise unheard-of creatures with the ruins of an ancient society just lying around. The whole Abyss is shrouded in mystery, but what I can tell you is that there was once a society that built a home in the Abyss as a refuge for their beliefs. However, they were ultimately persecuted and captured for these beliefs. Whether the Abyss was natural or they built the Abyss is up to interpretation, but there is definitely some kind of silent, hidden deity that resides over the Abyss, the 12th deity if you will.
Oh, and there's also the ancient temple that lies deep within the caverns of Prism Clan from before the mountain was constructed. I don't know much about this place, but I think it's related to the overwhelming positive magic that exists in the land. I think it's also related to the Abyssal deity, possibly a place of worship.
So yeah, lots of mysteries and supernatural entities. There are lots of weirdos in the clan. Pretty much anything magical or supernatural exists in my version of Sornieth. Ghosts = yes. Nature spirits = yes. Horrific invisible entities = yes.
Most of my dragons don't even have anything to do with this lore. They just live here.
To sum up the future events, the evil entity will come back. Some things will have to click in place first. I still don't know about the Abyssal deity or the ancient temple, but I kinda like the thread of mystery in my lore that may never be solved.

Thank you for reading my yap fest!
My lore is mostly a lot of world building right now, but I plan to add more interactions and such with reference to the world itself (which results in my lore requiring some context to actually understand due to the terminology I keep inventing for it). Not helping is that a lot of my lore is intentionally written in different styles/mediums to further flesh out a story written from the perspective of one who lives in that world (e.g. a wikipedia-style article, dictionary definitions, a technical standard, an after action report and a newspaper article are some of the writing styles I have already.)
In this world, trading between and within flights is very important. These are concentrated among specific trade routes which can receive very heavy transit traffic, especially those that connect different regions together. My lore takes place on one such hub located in the Hoverview Vale, which is large enough that it is effectively a self-governing territory with its own administrative and security services. (Yes I accidentally created dragon Hong Kong). The history and backstory of the area can be found in the wikipedia-style article in my clan bio.
My perma dragons are a subset of the population who live in the trading hub, and the lore mostly details their life as residents. Ranging from a dragon who is drowning in administrative paperwork, to a historian and students, since I have the process of being exalted as taking a test (much like a college exam).
A lot of the finer details are just memes, in-jokes and other references to real-world systems that I managed to write into the lore in a semi-serious way that fits. For instance, Eliminate is a sacred stone, Fae dragons doing interpretive dance is a communication medium and public transport exists in the form of smaller dragons being carried to a destination by larger dragons.
Overall, it feels a lot more like a dragon version of a blend of 19th to 21st century society, with a heavy focus on trade and trading. I might focus on more spiritual aspects next.
