I lost my well fed bonus because this site does the stupid make them hungry 3 times a day instead of once. So I had 256 fish today, -63 hibden, Baldwin etc for a grand total of 193.

One idea could be that gathering gives you a set number of food points per turn (provided you gather in a food area). For example, at level 1 you automatically get 5 food points on every gather which guarantees 50 food at the minimum, where at level 40 you get maybe 20, guaranteeing 200 food per turn
On top of that, there could be a minimum number of points that can be gathered per turn in the item form based on level as well, with level 1 being just 1 point, but level 40 is 10 or 20. The two combined means every gather will guarantee 300-400 food points (assuming all items are turned to food points and not stored or sold) a day at the bare minimum?

Yeah that would be a reasonable change that thus far everyone has been on board with. Bring up the floor to prevent the off-shoot cases of single item/familiar-only pulls so everyone's average would go up provided the user is using it on food gathering.

Since gathering gives you more than just food, measuring success by food points won't work.
I've said it before, but to me the solution would be assigning a numerical value based on the stars an item has (1-6), and a minimum (and maybe a cap) of points you should get based on your gathering level.
It would mean that you actually *improve* as you level up, that not only does the pool expand, but you get more opportunities to draw from it (that's always been a big problem with the current system--leveling up actually makes gathering more difficult because the pool expands but the draws don't).
So say level 1's minimum draw is 5 points: that could be 5 one-star items, 1 five-star items, 2 two-star and 1 one-star, etc...
The you get to level 10, and say the minimum is 15. Could be 3 five-stars, could be 2 rainbow stars and a 3-star, etc. But at the higher level you'd be guaranteed to get more. Not necessarily more value, but more chances for value.

The fact that any of y'all are getting over 500 points is nuts lmao I am NOT getting that kind of pull even if I convert the HibDen stuff for the day. What buffs do y'all have. Which Flights are y'all in. Your Deities are blessing you.

yeah i'm really suspicious about some of the over 500 numbers that are being presented
i don't think i've ever pulled that much on days i do 100% gathering in one spot, and i don't save things for hibden or swipp so my food gets 100% converted
