Igneo is my fire rep and a mad scientist! He’s an alchemist who likes to channel elemental magicks into his concoctions to see what effects they have. Swears up and down that the ones he offers to other people are safe to drink but won’t explain what happened to the last person besides him who drank one. Given that many if not most of his potions are highly explosive, nobody wants to drink them.

@SushiDragon101 I LOVE Otekko, I always love a good alchemist! Especially one who's questionable at best. Granite is so fun too, there's something deeply wrong with him and I love it.

@ZincAlloy Alder is so fun. Mad scientist AND a crime boss? Love it. And I just noticed how many mesa mechanojets he has, hello??? Obsessed
@Barrdwing Love the look of this dragon! I had a real blorbo bingus moment reading all the names in the bio, I love fandragons I have zero clue about. His apparel is so fun and the monocle paired with the goggles makes it. Love <3
@CherryJasper LOVE a terrible guy who loves his wife soso much, obsessed. He really captures the edgy scientist look, and I am so happy for him and his wife even though he's awful.
@LoveAccidentally Challenger and Stohn are very fun, astrobotany is extremely cool. Sometimes you just gotta grow a person out of weird plants, I don't see any issue with that. And the unnamed lady is soo pretty, slime and ooze is v fun. I really thought her skin was part of the malochite gene for a moment.
@idleHearts A couple of gorgeous coatls <3 and Bloody's name is certainly fitting, and I hope it's also a descriptor of what he tends to be loll. I LOVE Platon's colors and I love alchemy, I hope he's having fun with his dubious experiments I think he deserves it.
@Cryoluxa So much green/purple/black!! Now THATS the peak mad scientist combo. Albus is soso fun and I especially love Harper. The apparel is so good and the way her primary works it makes it look like she has dark eyeshadow and I'm kind of obsessed, I'd snatch her up if I could tbh. As for Tabian, love magical research! I think that can plenty count. I have a dragon like that I was planning to add to this thread (she raised the dead loll). Tabian is so pretty
@maranimh Mordechai looks incredible. Jester is one of if not my most favorite gene, so I always love to see it, and his apparel is super cool. Definitely reads as weird sciency guy with that gas mask. Love him
@yoshimario40 PLAGUE SCIENTISTS yess I love whatever they have going on in plague. I love this pair of weirdos, and their weirdo activities, extremely fun lore. "Experimenting on Hapless Dragons" Hilarious, love it. Reading their lore inspired me to be able to add a few more sentences onto my plague rep's bio! I'll throw them in this thread too, I think
@wonderwild Dottore looks SO cool. The black/light blue feels very modern-robotic type combo and it's very neat. Very sleek looking dragon. I realized this is a genshin fandragon probably? Idk much about it but the character seems funky!
@Harr3nhal Oh i am totally obsessed with that bogsneak. The lightning-y apparel is so cool, and I love the way the runes genes looks. Love inventors, looks like she's in the same boat as my Charcoal <3. And Fell's lore is extremely cool... the fact that he was the experiment and now he's doing experiments, I love it. He LOOKS super cool too, like being near him would poison me

@eyeguy Gigi is gorgeouss what a lucky halloween hatch. And I love the dark sclera, I think more dragons need it cause it's super neat. Knox is also super cool, the red/purple combination is very fun. I really like the duality in their methods! What a cool pair of dragons.
@Xurem Super pretty dragons! I love love Knox's look with the ash mask, and the reds/blacks are always a great edgy color combo. And Mith seems to be the total opposite of that with the blue/white. She looks super cool and the spire really adds a lot. Morning is stunning and his apparel looks really good with his genes. You can never go wrong with gene and color combinations like that and he definitely looks like a mad, if a bit zany, scientist. And Oliver probably has to be my favorite. I lovee radioactive in general, and the alchemist vibe going on here is extremely cool.
@Strawberrysaur I think this is the only real fiery dragon I've seen here so far! Fire rep alchemist is such a cool concept and I'm kind of obsessed. In love with his genes and colors and the apparel. I'd let him give me an explosive concoction tbh.

Benevive isn't a mad [i]scientist[/i] per se, and maybe not all mad in general, but she loves to research and experiment with dark old magic, as well as developing new methods of magic. This isn't bad on its own, but she has a habit of going big with the spells she discovers without testing them on a smaller scale yet, and gets a bit reckless with it, and it can have some unfortunate consequences. Like the time she raised a corpse. She'd argue that's a FORTUNATE consequence, though, because she got Empress out of it- fair enough. (She'd also argue it was entirely on purpose.)

Patho are one of my plague reps! They come from the Quarantine Zone and so of course bring whatever that entails. They experiment with viruses and disease, even while residing in a Nature flight. They unnerve pretty much everybody else, including their fellow plague rep, but are close with Novae (my arcane rep I shared at the top of the thread).

possessor helped create her lab in the first place, and he regularly sends her new subjects to play with. he even gives her specific requirements to fulfill, which she finds to be a very fun challenge. she sends those ones back to him to do whatever he likes with them. after all, why would she care? she's had her fun and completed the experiment.

possessor helped create her lab in the first place, and he regularly sends her new subjects to play with. he even gives her specific requirements to fulfill, which she finds to be a very fun challenge. she sends those ones back to him to do whatever he likes with them. after all, why would she care? she's had her fun and completed the experiment.
hex, aptly titled the mad scientist, runs hexceed inc., a front for her gigantic laboratory below. she's very logical, methodical and dramatic, and is looking to make herself stronger in any way she can. she hasn't experimented on herself too much yet (in fear of it backfiring), but she has done a lot to her two assistants, myxoradiophobia and curse:
she has no moral grounds, finding them cumbersome, and will do anything - good or bad - to further her progress. she's both part of a group working to end a dangerous disease and is gladly mutating dragons beyond recognition to draw their magic out of them.
she also works with my equally evil coatl, possessor! while definitely not a scientist, he's still very mad:
