I tried to pick really colorful pieces to showcase their eagerness to learn, but the clothes they picked out may not be the best suited for baking. So instead of proper PPE, they have a bandana that doesn't fully cover their fur, which increases the chances of finding blond fur baked into their food.

[*]He attached a [gamedb item=7326] to his hip, a lucky charm from when he first left his hometown in Dragonhome. [*]The steaming pot of [gamedb item=15118], not to be mistaken for [gamedb item=49104] will be poured into hard honey candy moulds, a treat popular with the hatchlings of his clan. [*]Sweets carries a little basket of string candies with him at all times, to ensure his sweet tooth doesn't affect his performance (he's been told licking the spoon will lose him points [emoji=coatl sad size=1]) [/LIST]

She's hoping she hasn't forgotten anything.

Arcane magic is a wonderful way to get an edible sparkle and a pop of flavour in anything (she doesn't know anywhere to get the glitter, either way), and getting dressed for the part definitely enhances the excitement of it all! She almost feels like one of the professionals in this, or at least, very pretty.

Oop, missed the ping for day 2! Gonna get that posted now, then make a post for day 3. ----- My two dragons are ancients, so Razael and his husband Okuraz will be standing in for the pair. While the ancients don't wear apparel, an apron is a given while they work (even if it can't be seen on site) as well as some form of long-distance communication (like the crystals) to keep up with new orders. An apron, coat, or both are a given with staff, though they won't all match. There's a system to the coat colors, with some specializing in baking, some in chilled sweets like ice cream rolls, others in drink prep as baristas, and others still in specialty fields as confectioners. Some even have a bit of overlap in these fields, causing them to wear other colored accent pieces on top of their uniform. The only ones who wear green accents are those with expertise in all fields in the kitchen; the more green you wear, the more you know. In Okuraz's case, he mostly knows how to bake (hence the red wing and tail pieces) and make drinks (the starter kit for all who work under Razael is how to make classic hot cocoa, which became Okuraz's favorite drink for a long time: purple with gold accents are used for this due to the fact it involves melting/making chocolate and turning it into a drink). However, he does dabble in the other fields, leading to the few green butterflies around his neck (he wanted to learn everything, so Razael tried to teach him everything; the two are [i]still[/i] trying). The only pieces in this outfit that are given for ancients are some form of apron/bandana to hold back hair/feathers and a crystal (like the NotN spheres) or other magical devices. These devices are used to take orders from anywhere in the city, set up deliveries/pickups, or just keep in contact with other members of staff. Razael and Okuraz have their own personal crystals they used, but as they took on more employees, it became common practice to have one hovering nearby. He's the head of the operation (and despite his mane he manages to keep it held back while he bakes, often using his nature magic to get the vines in the mane to pull the rest of it back and out of the way). As the head chef in the back (and the one who essentially founded the Sweet Treat), he's been given some leeway when it comes to his accessories (gifts from Okuraz more often than not). Of course, seeing as these are recipes he's gathered over the course of most of his life, he's seen as a master in the back, and as such is dripping in emerald and peridot decor. His recipe book may change throughout the day (they're color coded to match the staff aprons, though the nature tome holds his most precious recipes), with some being passed between the other bakers/baristas/confectioners in the back as points of reference. His eyesight isn't as good as it once was, hence the glasses (the same goes for his staff; sure, he used to use it to stop his then-boyfriend from trying to snatch cookies fresh out of the oven, or in one case molten sugar, but now he seems to use it to support himself as he watches over the kitchen). As for the cat... well, cat cafes are common, and he always makes sure they don't go back with him while he bakes. This one just stuck around for the outfit debut (at Razael's insistence). The crystal he has is his personal crystal, which was one of the two that inspired the other members of staff to take up crystals of their own. It should be noted that, while ancients cannot wear apparel due to site mechanics, my pair of ancients do wear aprons. Macaron's rockbreaker has been adapted to hover near Cupcake as well, etched so that they can keep in contact with the other bakers/confectioners/baristas in the shop (and some who might be out making deliveries or getting fresh ingredients). Whenever they're in the front, there is usually a cat napping on them (usually their head). They seem to enjoy the company. Cupcake wears mostly red, his apron holding the starter purple and gold accents due to his knowledge on hot cocoa. Macaron has the same starter apron set and red accents, but has taken on more gold due to the fact she's recently branched off into making candies as cupcake toppers (and of course her newfound passion of making rock candies). The current color guide is as follows: [LIST] [*] Purple - Baristas (based off the floral teas Razael started off with; mostly lavender tea to fend off stress) [*] Gold - Confectioner work (based off molten sugar/caramel) [*] Red - Baking (based off Okuraz's favorite cake; cherry chocolate upside down cake) [*] Blue - Chilled Sweets (blue like ice; used by the ice cream scoopers and icee/slushie makers) [*] Green - Jack of All Trades; Rarely Master of None (Okuraz's idea since Razael was once mostly green; his wings paled over time after he turned himself into a coatl) [/LIST] There is a debate on whether chocolatiers should have their own color band (current idea is orange like those chocolate oranges, or changing the confectioners' color to be pink like some taffies/hard candies so the chocolatiers could have gold as their color in reference to caramel chocolates). Right now, however, they share a color band with the other confectioners. This is why, for the time being, gold is the only sweet color Cupcake and Macaron are wearing. If that changes, Macaron will have to add more pink to her attire, while Cupcake will have to ensure he doesn't have much pink (if any at all) due to his lack of knowledge on making most candies (he has made chocolates to turn into chocolate shavings for his cupcakes/cakes, or in some cases to serve alongside his other baked goods).

Like her name suggests, her specialty was once macarons. Nowadays she focuses more on making new flavors and finding ways to incorporate her newest hobby (rock candy making) into her work. She's begun making landscapes out of fondant, icing, and sweet breads of all sorts (think cakes that are mistaken as something real). Her favorite thing to do is turn her partner's cakes into a landscape (often earth themed). She'll make crystal caverns dug into cakes with macaron shell stalactites/stalagmites, underground rivers of jelly-like filling, and rock candy crystal formations. Cupcakes, tiered cakes, and even the occasional brownie are all in the cards for him. He'll sometimes branch into cookies or other sweet pastries (like doughnuts), but cakes are his specialty. He's even found ways to make savory cakes (much to the dismay of Razael when the auraboa used peppers in his recipe). His focus is mostly on the texture and flavor of the cake itself, with decoration coming second. He aims to make others question how something came about, like how a drake could make a cupcake taste just like their favorite crab dish, or perhaps their favorite savory meal. Of course there are the usual flavors too, like chocolate or yellow cake; he just has a passion for what couldn't be done (or in Razael's [s]humble[/s] opinion, [i]shouldn't[/i] be done). ----- It should be noted that, while the both of them have their own specialties with baking, they're a known dynamic duo. Cupcake makes the cakes that Macaron carves into, turning his blank canvases into what most in the city consider to be true art. As such, there is a lot of overlap in what they make (they've even made cookie cakes together).

"The kind of food that fills stomachs." She places such heavy emphasis on the final word that it's all but underlined, thick lines practically manifesting in the air as she speaks. "You ever seen folk try to get by when they're hungry? It's [i]my[/i] job to make sure that's not happenin'. A big chunk of catfish pie at the end of a busy day?" She lifts an arm, pinches two claws together and brings them to her muzzle, blowing a kiss. [i]Perfection![/i] Beneath the cotton of her robes, deep auburn fabric against her mottled colouration, her chest swells. She draws little attention to the obvious pride in her work, knowing it's clear in the way she holds herself as she talks. "Ahh, that's not all I like to bake though. Get comfy and I can rattle some more off for you. Potato onion's a favourite - " -- Though Lysen's easy go to favourite is fish pies for her largely carnivorous kin, she does have a general fondness for savory goods of all kinds. However, Lysen's ideal of baking is making something that's tasty and filling, handily tacking her two concerns of making sure no-one goes hungry [i]and[/i] has a good meal. Whether that's potato pies or sugary snacks, she'll take it on herself to tackle with the best of her considerable ability.

She particularly likes sweet pastries -- being a Tundra, I imagine she'd include plenty of fruits and nuts. And since she works in a boarding house and is pretty fond of the tenants, she'd most likely focus on creating stuff she can easily distribute among them. Not huge cakes that need to be sliced up, but small cupcakes, cookies, etc. that can be handed out to passing dragons. She'd probably also be happy to try baking bigger pastries, like a huge birthday cake for an Imp, but since she's quite small and is supposed to be an old gal, she'd need plenty of help with that.

When they have extensive periods of downtime, he does love baking more elaborate breads and other cookies, but those are few and far between, and while his sourdough starter was a resilient little specimen it did not survive his clanmates babysitting it while he was away. He will also be the first to admit that confectionery and frostings are far from his strong suit, but he always tries his best!
