My parents forgot to put a lid on the bin with a heat lamp we have been keeping our newest batch of chicks in and one of them escaped and she froze to death. It's far from the first time I've lost a chicken but this is the first time I've actually been the one to discover it.
Safe to say that it has not been helping my already very stressful week.

That’s so sad, I’m really sorry for your loss :( I’ve lost a few quails recently including one baby who died while I held him in my hands. It’s really a bad feeling and you can’t help but feel sorry for the little things. Hope the rest of your chicks grow up healthy and happy :)
