Stratus is one of a large family in my lair, and therefore a very special dragon to me. His sister [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/drs/3304054/34#post_56346614]Derecho[/url], who we met earlier, is from the same clutch. I imagine they’re quite good friends. They have little in common except their parents, but they’re good friends. Also he’s [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/drs/3304054/38#post_56411263]Blizzard[/url]’s half-brother. We met her yesterday. Also I love that his colors are entirely monochromatic, but he nevertheless looks like he might be orange. Could I have just given him Poison for a similar effect? Probably. But this is cooler.
Even though Stratus wasn’t around when my lair concept was a bunch of dragons teaching other dragons to fly (I know, akin to walking school for humans - which to some humans is useful, but it does limit a few things…), he is now the only real remaining fruit of that idea. He’s an aerial acrobat, kind of like [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/drs/3304054/26#post_56229352]Falco[/url] is. But unlike Falco, he’s actually a good teacher. Just generally a good guy.
So, even though most dragons fly, I was thinking some of them are probably just better at it. After all, you’ve got the normal walking-from-point-A-to-point-B people like me, and then you’ve got people who do free running or whatever. That’s what Stratus does. He just gets from one place to another, and looks amazing doing it.
Even with armor, I assume. Everyone around here wears armor.

I definitely agree on the spears. I think I have three dragons with them so far... Also, no such thing as too many Ridgebacks. Ijaujak is beautiful. No offense to Coatls, but I'm sure he feels better this way. Great familiar match, as well!

Ah, yes, peace and long life. Amazing and wonderful how many enjoyers of Vulcan(s) there are on this site. I certainly have gotten over the fear I was the only one.
Thank you! I didn't realize the juxtaposition originally when selecting her outfit (someone else dressed her for me ultimately), but it is quite pleasant. Your Mirror is delightful. I love lamplighters. It's such a unique job, and very fun. Also that he improves the overall quality of life for the clan, I'm sure, with his fun-loving spirit. Easy for a Mirror to like the night so much, though. Heat vision and all. Other dragons may be less comfortable.
I honestly think Muroc is the best use of that skin I've literally ever seen, also. I've been looking at him for a minute and I'm not tired of it. That purple/hint of red is just too appropriate to miss for these guys. Excellent familiar match as well.
Okay, never mind, you just have the vision for beautiful color combinations. It's unfair how amazing this goldenrod Ghost looks. Brilliant.
Similar story with Teagan. Love green and white. My guy I'm showing tomorrow is pink, green, and white. Though not such a rich green. I especially love the use of the lily and the calling. Love the callings. And I'm all for falling for a god at any point in the relationship. I'm pretty sure that's how TTRPG campaigns are supposed to go. Like, is it really a campaign if this doesn't happen? (An aside, one campaign I was in, one of the party members fell for a god that had to do with time travel and long story short, because of those shenanigans, it turned out that party member was the father of another party member. So. You know. Fall responsibly.)
Yes, the silks and the flowers are my most favorite part of Sadalsuud. Also the shovel. Because an Earth dragon using a shovel to bury his bodies is something I find hilarious apparently. T'Vran is a wondeful scatter. Olive is such a beautiful color on its own, but the way you made it work iwth the Sunshine and Buttercup like that. Beautiful.

Since I have this "rule" that I have to use a festival skin on every dragon, it's really gotten me a little bit out of the rut of "all purple Shadow dragons" for example because... well, I'd just have a lot of dragon sthat look the same. But your Thorn looks absolutley incredible with Trickmurk! I have really enjoyed that gene on every dragon I've seen it on, I think. But the combination of Bright and Saddle here is wonderful.

Starmap always catches me off guard with the random accent colors sometimes?? Because not every color has one. So it's cool when you stumble upon one. Also, nebula looks amazing. What glowing eyes.

Thank you! Goldie is so pretty. I really like the Metallic on f Imperials specifically. Very nice somehow. More so than on other dragons. Also Daybreak Decorations are some of my favorites.

Just had to say I read Nightmare's lore (at least some of it). Very interesting! He's also just a very interesting looking guy. Unexpected circuit, but also somehow fitting.

I'm loving all three of these dragons you shared, but Nightfury is an excellent use of that skin and the filigree? Also that Gaoler skin. Interesting rune color, there, but I think it works. Especially for a lichenologist.
Featherdance is beautiful, though. Those breeding challenges do seem like a lot of fun, but I'm also too impatient, I think.
Also, you're welcome! Highly recommended. I mean, I'm super biased. I'd recommend visiting literally anything in CZ. But if you like macabre, there it is. But there are a lot of these types of things, to be fair. This is a great Garote. I'm surprised at the butterfly wings. (Also been a while since I read the lore stories.) But I like it. I like it a lot.

Hotrod currently doesn't have much lore apart from "He is a car" but I can assure you he flies VERY fast (And swims, and slithers...)

@Almedha I had honestly not noticed that combining Poison with Crackle is how you got the skeleton hands... so used to seeing accents that do things like that. That is so rockin' I've got to find a way to use crackle against a light primary sometime!!!!
btw that was an epic 'reply to everyone for the last few weeks' post I'm curious how it plays out on the other end handling everybody replying all at once xD
Also I loved that the memorial Gaoler's runes look like they are written in lichen, I'm so glad you mentioned them :D
I also have some capsule genes hiding under apparel... o.O (Actually if the surface of the liquid is obscured I really don't mind the gene, its kind of glimmer-like on the belly (I don't particularly like glimmer though... so it doesn't help a lot lol) and it can be assumed the color fades into the neck color rather than looking like a ridiculous concoction (OK I like capsule when it has lore reasons, like some subspecies have))
btw that was an epic 'reply to everyone for the last few weeks' post I'm curious how it plays out on the other end handling everybody replying all at once xD
Also I loved that the memorial Gaoler's runes look like they are written in lichen, I'm so glad you mentioned them :D

@Almedha I had honestly not noticed that combining Poison with Crackle is how you got the skeleton hands... so used to seeing accents that do things like that. That is so rockin' I've got to find a way to use crackle against a light primary sometime!!!!

Novas doesn't have any lore written but I had in mind she'd be the messenger/courier of the clan when I equipped her apparels, so I guess that would make her a good flyer. [emoji=imperial laughing size=1]

Makari is one of my favorite dragons. He was hatched all basic from one of my favorite dragons. It was one of those lore-hatchlings arrangements, but I don’t remember what I was planning to do with it. But I do remember giving this guy his story and bio and whatnot pretty quickly, so I guess this is what I was planning to do?
Like, his mom’s lore has that one incredibly creepy bit. That would be cool to reference for him, but no. I was like, “Nope this guy just talks to trees and doesn’t get along with his dad. Family drama is my middle name.”
It is my middle name. Almedha Family Drama Last Name is my name. True story. But that’s not an excuse.
I also have to say, this guy’s outfit is certainly one of my favorites. I think it’s one of those quintessentially pretty ones. Real simple, so, you know, I’m sure he’s not the only dragon to be wearing it out there. But I’ve never been too concerned with being unique. There are just too many unique things out there. I guess that’s kind of a funny thing about Makari - who would do anything to stand out and be noticed, I dress him in this incredibly vanilla pretty outfit that, I think, even still fits his personality to a T. There may be a theme there. I don’t know.
