426 nests and 1121 eggs hatched here! So an average of 2.63. I wonder if the game stat counts elemental/bog/nocturne eggs

502 nests laid, 1308 eggs hatched

That gives an average of 2.6 eggs per nest for me, which seems to be about the average for everyone so far lol

3445 eggs and 1298 nests for an 2,65 average (or 3 eggs). Math checks out.

It'd be cool to get stats for number of 1-eggs, 2-eggs, 3-eggs etc. and special eyes hatched.

Mine's 2.63. You shouldn't round to whole eggs as that's not really interesting - over time it's going to become 3 for everyone. That's why, for example, batting averages are expressed as a fraction, even though you can't have a fraction of a successful hit anymore than you can a fraction of an egg. But an average of 2.65 eggs means a higher "egg rate" than 2.63. Here's the official egg rates!
When you interbreed 2 dragons of different species, this table is used: A chance at a 5th egg is added because you rolled the dice with species outcome. 5 eggs (5%) 4 eggs (10%) 3 eggs (45%) 2 eggs (30%) 1 egg (10%) If you breed two dragons of the same species, this table is used: 4 eggs (12%) 3 eggs (40%) 2 eggs (38%) 1 egg (10%)
If you do the math on these tables, you get an average egg rate of 2.54 for a same-modern nest and 2.7 for a different-modern nest or an ancient nest. So everybody's average will, over time, fall between these two values. You will tend towards 2.7 if you do more different-modern and ancient nests and you will tend towards 2.54 if you do more same-modern nests. Having a rate below 2.54 or above 2.7 would be exceptional, or indicative of a small sample size.

5 eggs (5%)
4 eggs (10%)
3 eggs (45%)
2 eggs (30%)
1 egg (10%)

If you breed two dragons of the same species, this table is used:

4 eggs (12%)
3 eggs (40%)
2 eggs (38%)
1 egg (10%)

The dodgy formatting of the account settings page led to me dividing by zero and breaking the universe. (it's actually 2.63 per nest, which is about what I expected since I have a lot of same-breed modern pairs and those cap at 4 eggs/nest)

I wonder if gen 1 eggs count to the total. If that is the case than serial mass-hatchers would probably have very skewed ratios.
