The evening sun delicately illuminated the tree tops
scarcely dotted around a small patch of plain terrain
near Highland Sanctum. Dimmed daylight brought
a sense of pleasant lethargy, which would soon lull
the dwellers of the area to sleep. However, not
everyone was ready to give in to slumber just yet.
The bickering of two adolescent dragons echoed and
grew in intensity, as they flew over the flatland. While
their pearls, carefully placed under a lone chestnut
tree gave off a calming aura, peace and quiet was the
last thing on their owners’ minds. The older one, visibly
taller and more muscular, glided first, skilfully swerving
in front of obstacles. With a sly grin, she held a reddish-
brown effigy made of leather – an object the younger
one, who could be mistaken for a hatchling, was clearly
after. But she was not as fast as her opponent. While
the thief gloated and teased, the child’s sense of
helplessness grew and finally, after several futile
attempts at reclaiming the toy and a not-so-graceful
landing, her voice started to break and eyes welled
up with tears. The older one’s expression changed
immediately. She dropped the facade and flew over
to the young.
„Come on now. You know I was only joking.”, she said.
„Don’t cry, Mia.”
„Give it back. Or I’m telling.”, Mia responded with all
ferocity she could muster, which prompted a feeling
far different than fear.
„Oooh, so intimidating.”, the older chuckled, causing
the kid to get even angrier and the quarreling to resume.
„Hey!”, a mighty roar stopped them both in their tracks.
„Sybil, are you picking on your sister again?”, an adult
female asked, exasperated. „I can hear the fighting
from the grotto. Cut it out.”
„I’m not picking on her. We’re just playing.”, the older
sibling tried to defend herself.
„Well, if that’s how playing sounds like, then I don’t
want you two to play anymore. Night is coming.”
Suddenly, both children understood that arguing over
a doll was not the most pressing issue of the moment.
At once, they joined forces and began begging the
parent for more time outside. This unexpected shift
surprised the mother and bewilderment flashed before
her dark, crimson eyes. She paused, then sighed.
„Fine. You have ten more minutes. But I’m not coming
here again.”
Around half an hour passed. The sky became significantly
darker. The mother stood at the entrance of her home,
feeling her annoyance growing. Mia and Sybil were still
not home. How could they disregard her so blatantly,
even after she extended their curfew?
But then she realised, for the last half an hour she
hadn’t really heard anything from the plain the sisters
would play at so often. No arguing. No laughter. Nothing.
Her heart dropped. She flew into the air, still hoping her
worry was unjustified. She arrived at the patch far
quicker than usual.
Her daughters were nowhere to be seen.
Their pearls were still placed on the ground, left under
the chestnut tree.

"Everyone pack up, island's haunted." - okay, that made me laugh out loud lol ;D
This is a reminder that today is the last day of the casting call for Survivor I.
If anyone is still interested in joining the competition, they have around 24 hours to send their applications - until today's reset.
Good luck ;)
Oh and also, fixed some typos in the "plot teaser #2". I'd say my English is all right but I'm not a native speaker, so they happen sometimes haha
