The Solar Blades and Bloodstone Cascades are stunning together. She is so freaking pretty, I adore her! She looks mysterious, dark, and really powerful. The bee and the jaguar work so well together, especially with that dress. Like a powerful magician that only shows herself at night. And the snow flurry matches too. She looks imposing, someone to not cross and mess with, and I love it! Strike some righteous fear into others, or stand guard to protect what is holy. Love it! I love Good Omens so much, so imma gush about fandergs for a sec. Crowley here looks so menacing and cool! The red whispy smoke and the red-tinged wings. Despite being a Banescale, he still looks serpentine. And it's awesome! I even love his little familiar, it goes so well with him!! 'the name too! Spot! Just, ough Crowley looks amazing. Such a wily serpent, he's incredible. I'm a sucker for scuttle! I love bugs in general, and Scuttle just looks so cool. And the blue/purple/orange/whire color combo! Such, just, that's personally my favorite color combos ever. And she looks so GOOD with them! And again, the familiar matches! The color contrast works so well with all the different shades, and the white prevents them from becoming too dark. Overall, such a pretty thing!!

Her colours match so well I thought she was a XXY at first, and the darker colour match really well to the bones of the accent. @hintfox That took me a while! Stunning (and huge!) lair, picking favourites was quite the task but I think in the end I found my five. Coal cinder/blaze is also another thing that is going in my files of things to note for the future. Of course I had to pick a spiral as a card-carrying member of the victims of spiral fever association, and Ataraxia was an excellent candidate for that position. I love the apparel, I love the lore, I love a swirl eye on a spiral it just makes sense to me? An enthusiastic gardener who rarely manages to actually grow things is a character who resonates with me deeply. Lionfish looks so cute on a tundra face. Her colouring is beautiful, the apparel matching and the little frog friend... I look at her and I immediately know who she is. And also I want to be her best friend. I love to see a witch with the black-and-red aesthetic, especially with the botanics in the same colour scheme. It just works!

@dustyfluorescent Your lair is nice and compact, but I still had quite a bit of narrowing down to do! Each dragon has something worth noting about them, from cool color combinations to interesting outfits to nice bios (where they've been completed.) Ultimately, it came down to these 5! A findling and their somewhat distant witch parent is definitely classic, but the way you describe their bond really stood out to me. The character you present is so full of love. Love of family, of home, and of another woman. Honestly this whole little triad of characters stole my heart. The motif feels appropriate, given her birthday. For her appearance, I mean, what a perfect collection of colors. A one-off double with colors that synergize effortlessly with one another. Her dark earthy light eyes continue the theme of foresty decay, and the little pops of yellow accenting that element feel very appropriate. She's so well put together, and is now nestled somewhere in a corner of my mind forever, 10/10 [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/76566395][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/765664/76566395_350.png[/img][/url] --- [emoji=apple size=1] --- [b]Child[/b] Another significant birthday! An ides dragon! While her bio comprises mostly of jotted down ideas, I find the idea of something haunted being so bright and colorful really interesting. She really plays with the tension between different concepts and bits of imagery. Sort of reminds me of those photos that float around of animal carcasses becoming vessels for birds nests. A little apple sapling growing through her desiccated ribs in the spring. I think bold accent colors are always are really rewarding to add to a palette and further lends itself to that idea of playing with contrast, with the verdant pops of greenery really cementing her vibe. If so, sorry if I start to repeat myself! It's hard not to be drawn to this dragon though, red and green palettes are just so strong. The dark lines of her primary's insectoid plating, her dark sclerae setting off her perfectly matched plague eyes, and the plumes of inky smoke all sneak in that nice pop of black that really sets the aesthetic off. A mantis in a rose bush. Contour is a really effective choice here too, I think, sneaking some green edges onto her wings and contouring her throat, the bottoms of her paws. It's one of those genes that really shines on the right dragon. [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/24277866][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/242779/24277866_350.png[/img][/url] ---[emoji=eliminate size=1]--- [b]Gyr[/b] Love to see an older dragon! Gyr is a compelling character overall too, his smudgy, dirty appearance playing into his nature. Especially those haunting white ice eyes peering out from a halo of bone and bloodied bandages. You get the distinct feeling that something unspeakable happened to him at some point or that there's just [i]something[/i] percolating under there, given the stark contrast between his behavior on the field and off. Circling back to the overall design, I absolutely love the scatter you stopped on. What a lucky set of colors! Flint in particular really feels like the MVP here, tying in his bloodscale armor pieces and the rusty hunk of metal that is his cleaver. There's a great mix of apparel going on here to grant a tattered, morbid appearance to this dragon. [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/76922130][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/769222/76922130_350.png[/img][/url] ---[emoji=butterfly size=1]--- [b]Radiance[/b] Last one, I'm so sad to be wrapping this up! Radiance made the final cut by virtue of having an eye-catching palette. Coppers, browns, orange-blue palettes are very much something I gravitate toward. But there's something extra special about the way in which you play with these colors: that sheen of opaline rainbowy crystalization from her accent. The bits of yellow you sneak in with her wand and wingchimes (especially that gradient in the mist!) really help ramp this effect in, since the focal point of the accent is that blotch of yellow-green-red on her shoulder. It'll be interesting to see what you choose to do with her character-wise, if she winds up sparking that at all. Otherwise, I mean...she's a little work of art, what more do you need than that sometimes? @osteophagy first of all, i have to say, your lair is impeccable. i love the overall aesthetic that each tab has, it makes viewing each page in your lair very enjoyable! [/columns] [columns][url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/60128695][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/601287/60128695_350.png[/img][/url][nextcol]the lore at play here is fascinating. i love the idea of a rotting god hiding inside this tabernacle, and this dragon does certainly hold an eerie feel to it. i didn't think that brick and shale could work well with each other, but those red hues are wonderful! i also really like how the accent make wynn appear as though their lower jaw had sloughed off, leaving only bone. very, very creepy.[/columns] [columns][url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/81111812][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/811119/81111812_350.png[/img][/url][nextcol]i totally laughed while reading this guy's bio. he really does embody a miserable, undead cowboy, and i think his genes really accent that. i think that this is one of the few dragons that really flourish with basic genes, as it allows for his wonderful skin (one i've been searching for for a while, no less...) and apparel to shine through. umber flair is a beautiful gene, and those green hues blend perfectly with his apparel, leaving a very well put-together look for a shambling zombie cowboy.[/columns] [columns][url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/61209061][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/612091/61209061_350.png[/img][/url][nextcol]and finally, the smiths fandragon. i noticed while clicking through your lair that quite a few dragons are named after various bands, but this guy's totally my favorite out of them. he is indeed a charming (if extremely unsettling) man. his teals and oranges go wonderfully together, and his accent fits perfectly with the hues in his apparel and genes! as before, the art in his bio is wonderful as well. it's very simplistic, but draws the eye in immediately.[/columns]

ARJOS HAS VERY LOVELY COMBINATION OF COLORS AND GENES, ESPECIALLY FOR A 1ST GENERATION, NO LESS! I FIND THE WAY YOU HAVE THIS DRAGON'S BIOGRAPHY FORMATTED, IT FEELS VERY FITTING FOR THE OVERALL THEME. I'M NOT SURE IF YOU PAID FOR THE ARTWORK OF ARJOS OR OBTAINED IT IN SOME OTHER FASHION, BUT THE ARTWORK ITSELF MOST CERTAINLY CAPTURES THE VIBES THIS DRAGON GIVES OFF, AND I JUST THINK THAT'S NEAT!




EGREGIO HAS SOME VERY LOVELY LORE, AND WHILE I'M EVEN IN ANY SITUATION THAT IS REMOTELY SIMILAR TO THE ONE THIS DRAGON IS IN, I STILL FEEL I CAN EMPATHIZE WITH HIS MOTIVES. HIS LORE FEELS HUMANIZING (TO AN EXTENT), IF THAT MAKES SENSE? IT FEELS LIKE I AM ABLE UNDERSTAND WHERE HE'S COMING FROM, BUT OBVIOUSLY THAT DOESN'T MEAN THAT I CAN FULLY RELATE, ESPECIALLY GIVEN THAT HE'S A FICTIONAL DRAGON AND I'M, WELL, NOT.




WHILE PROGNOS DOESN'T APPEAR TO HAVE A STORY, I FEEL AS THOUGH THE BROADCAST MESSAGE AND OUTFIT SERVE AS A STORY IN THEIR OWN RIGHT. PERSONALLY, IT'S VERY PLAUSIBLE TO SEE IN HIS OUTFIT THAT HE'S A DROP-OUT, YET STILL RETAINS THE BITS OF KNOWLEDGE HE HAS, AS SHOWN WITH THE CAIRNESTONE CARRY APPAREL. HIS OUTFIT IS VERY ON PAR WITH HIS OCCUPATIONS, IN SIMPLER WORDS.




ZYPHRIEN IS VERY COOL, BOTH QUITE LITERALLY IN TERMS OF THE BLUES OF HER AND METAPHORICALLY WITH WHAT LITTLE SNIPPET OF A QUOTE IS TYPED OUT IN HER BIOGRAPHY. I PERSONALLY INTERPRET THAT QUOTE OF HER OFFERING SOME FORM OF SACRED BURIAL SERVICES IN EXCHANGE FOR SOMETHING OR SOMEONE THAT SHE WANTS. GIVEN HOW THE PHRASE ITSELF SEEMS TO BE A BUSINESS SLOGAN OF-SORTS, IT FEELS VERY ENTICING AND UNIQUE TO HER AS A DRAGON.




OROCHI IS VERY INTRIGUING, ESPECIALLY IN TERMS OF THE ARTWORK THAT ACCOMPANIES HIM. WHILE I'M NOT PERSONALLY IN THE KNOW ABOUT WHAT MYTH THIS ONE IS BASED OFF OF, I JUST THINK HE'S A SUPER INTERESTING CHARACTER TO READ ABOUT, AND I HOPE TO SEE MORE OF HIM IN THE NEAR FUTURE. :]
