I really adore his colors, especially how well they go with the skin. You also dressed him beautifully, sometimes less is more and it really shows here. One of my favorite parts of him is that beautiful stonewash capsule, it really feels like it ties everything together[/columns] [columns]Lately I've really come around to tundras, they used to not interest me at all but I caved and now really enjoy the little floofs that they are. That being said, HORIZON is a perfect example of a gorgeous tun. Grape harle is stunning with that skin, like my gosh it should be a crime with how good it looks with the skin. I like how it makes him look elegant but also a bit sinister. Like he might be a being that carries himself regally but isn't afraid to be cruel, that is also conveyed with his name being DEVIL and all.[/columns] [columns]I can't leave Pandora off this list because like c'mon, who can resist such a ominous beauty. I for one am a huge fan of auroshen skins and you could not have found a more perfect dragon for this one! I love how the skin matches the obsidian noxtide and the grasps mixed with the flowerfall really enhance her sort of menacing yet captivating quality. @Aurelyon I think I've been through your lair at another time on the steal a g1 thread or something, so happy to have the opportunity to gush about more of your dragons - though you certainly don't make it easy picking just five! I found likes that I had already given on [i]so[/i] many of your dragons, not to mention there's even more since I last saw it... If given the opportunity I could probably write something about how gorgeous pretty much every dragon in your lair is, really. You truly have such a phenomenal lair, every dragon is dressed impeccably and with perfect accents too.. truly such a pleasure to admire them! Points is a gene I've had a hard time using on my own scries but I always love to see it done well - and that's certainly the case here! I personally love dragons with dark okapi and I think having dark points on a lighter body ends up with a similar effect that really appeals to me - I just love the dark tail/head areas with the little hints of pistachio peeking out between. It's also really lovely that the tips of the smoke on the accent appear to be green as well, it really ties him together so wonderfully! I think the genes available to them can be the most fun to scry sometimes, there are such good colors and so many opportunities to create such pretty matching dragons. Nimue is so lovely, her colors work together so nicely! In the alternate universe where my lair has more green in it I would be using spruce on every dragon - I've really never seen it miss before. So glad they added saddle to more breeds, it's truly the gene of ever, and on veils what it does to their manes in particular is [i]so[/i] fun. A pretty dragon with stained is really just on the fast track to my heart, I'm always so excited to see what fun things it does to various colors. I adore how these colors look together by themselves, but the accent is just perfect on top - smoke on an accent is always a banger I think! It's a small detail, but the black edges on the wings/feathers are particularly nice. The golden seraph apparel is also really lovely on him, it fits right in with his accent so nicely! In my professional opinion as a jaguar enthusiast, I think phthalo jaguar is by far one of the best jaguars, and with stained too? Match made in heaven! The auburn gives such a lovely shade of stained, everything feels so warm and soft - the pastel eyes are a really nice touch as well, they match so nicely with the smoky elements of the accent. Her accent is also super adorable and looks perfect on her, what a darling unicorn... it just made me smile so much to look at her. @SetoPool *glances through your lair* ...Oh this is going to take a while, isn't it? Well, the [i]shortlist[/i] here was 10 dragons long. Every time I made the "well, I think the other dragons might be prettier" decision, I would be an idiot and check their lore. And it's all [i]so good[/i]! Honestly choosing five was torture. (Boy am I glad I encountered you on the write more thread and not the short edition) But! Really eyecatching against all the purple and the blue of the skin. It also ties into their lore really well, with their power to control time. I love that they just vanish for a few decades (I mean it's basically five minutes right?) "Being a star had been simple because there was no room for any emotions besides a mindless joy." Oh now that is [i]interesting[/i]. What a killer line, and a great concept. A star suddenly absorbing emotions besides joy, becoming complex. I love that they're "obsessed with death", as well. As a star, they probably had a very different view of it before. "Will play chess with literally anyone sentient enough to hold a conversation". I love them. "After all, up til the end...Selfishness was always one of Wyrden's most prominent traits." You have got to stop killing me with one liners. I mean just [i]look[/i] at him! Of course he had to be on this list. The echo eater apparel looks great on him, and those flashes of red are really effective. So, lore! His job includes "correcting" anomalies, that's a fun concept. What counts as an anomaly? Do the Vincents count? Does the [i]museum[/i] count, if Charlie can put fragments of himself into the art? And speaking of, Thanatos can "fragment himself to be in different places" and sometimes loses control of them. I love that. Just casually allowing a rogue fragment of themself to drift about... and pick up some of the work. The dream. But they become less himself the more they fragment... I just seriously love so much of your lore. "I can't seem to change, even as the world around me does." Stunning. Wow. I love that you've given him a very fey accent, and that you've paired up that glass filigree with the more wild and ragged wood-apparel. Secondly, 'invulnerable character who hides their injuries and just resignedly accepts them because this is their fate but also just makes friends constantly' my beloved. Seriously, this is one of my favourite character tropes. It just makes my brain fizz, you know? And he makes friends out of the people who try to kill him. Hilarious potential, there. Also tragic. 10/10. Mikhail really scratches that itch. There seems to be an increasing desperation in the way he's ruling heaven - the harder he is, the more control he has, [i]obviously[/i], that's definitely never going to backfire - that's endlessly fascinating. "He is a child, throwing a tantrum in confusion. The only problem is, he's a child with a lot of power, and his tantrums have dire consequences for everyone else." [i]Yesssssssss[/i] Also, he's stunning. That skin, with the halo and the sword and the scarf? Wow. Regal and eyecatching and- oh he has primal eyes too? The little glowing points of the starmap coming through really lend something of an ethereal look to her, and really makes her eyes stand out. Unnerving and beautiful. (How on theme) Her lore. Her [i]lore[/i]! Oh Freya. I absolutely adore her lore, and it's 1am so my eloquence is greatly diminished, but I love how you've built it up. Have my favourite line: "Delphi is dead. We've killed it, and now all that remains is its bloated corpse preserved in my mind in all its rotting glory." ...This is the Oracle of 'Cailleach', right? That is some [i]good lore[/i] (Also, "just a sad depressed bean" if she accepts hugs I would offer one. stars know she deserves it) Honourable mentions to: Orion (very pretty, and then that redacted lore! ouch), Charlie (again, that lore! a room of Vincent's begging for death?!?!?!?!?!), Tol (looks so cool and the quote ahhhh), and Choke (again, looks cool, but boy did Henri choose badly) Anyway, if you've managed to wade through all of that, have a nice day :)

Because of Sanguine Stained and her Abyss colors,... she looks darker than Basic Obsidian. But it gives this sharp contrast to the Summer Heat accent, and it really makes all the fine detailing from the accent pop. I also like that she has the Segmented Ember set. It almost appears as if she has sharp rocks peering out from the accent. You did a fine job making him visually interesting, and contrasting his colors with a complimenting apparel. The Grasps and Scarlet Wooly Coat really pop on him, and I also like how the Ravenskull Broadsword completes his sharp look. He's a minimalist that doesn't need a lot, and it makes it easier to appreciate the Antique Ground/Fissure/Smirch genes. The entire Talus Foris accent is clear, and makes him visually striking. The Faerie Rose pieces is a great subtle way to compliment his theming, and add a pop of subtle greens. Grape Stained is incredible on her! I had no idea it could compliment the purples of many apparel so well. It's what really makes her eldritch Arcane vibes so striking, and I particularly like how Berry Constellation looks along with the apparel around her wings. It's what particularly makes her look eerie and powerful, especially because of the Arcane Aura. He's another one of your minimalist dragons, but the apparel, accent, and genes mesh wonderfully together. Fade and Blend give subtle gradients that make the golds and yellows pop on him, and it compliments the dark browns of the accent and his apparel. The Earth Faceted eyes is the perfect way to draw attention to his head and face, and completing the theming Belus has.

@Teba All fandragon lair, huh? Impressive. That mosswood trim is one of those apparel pieces I like but just don't have the dragon for, and it's wonderful here. Ripple and veined are great choices to give that cracked and ancient look — especially veined, that gold matches the eyes so well! Faceted eyes not having pupils is also surprisingly good for this dragon, and also there's the subtle touch of that accent. Just wonderful all around. Peacock's also an excellent tert for him; a bit of blue to add another colour. (Which matches the kerchief!) It's also a very well put together outfit, lots of different apparel sets that all work together. Regular Pit's got the better broadcast message though. (And it turns out I am still annoyed I was too left-handed to finish that game.) Smoke tertiary does a very good job of representing the pink clouds (though obviously there's the accent that's actually pink clouds) and the starsilks add some much needed darker purples. Also that bird on his head is perfect, and he's just a pretty wildclaw in general. The outfit for the other magicant in the bio is also very cool. It's not often the rogue set looks good on its own, but here it does a very good approximation of a baseball uniform. I love the extra stripes okapi adds to the headcrests too, it does a superb job making him still interesting to look at without adding colour. Also, even without the reference, a baseball dragon is just intrinsically funny. That art by Crescentstar711 is outstranding.

I am an absolute sucker for spirals (I find them rather underrated as far as breeds go) so she instantly caught my eye. I love the bold red on white and smoke is on the more unique side for a tertiary and it works so well here it really gives her a both elegant and bold impression. She matches her lore very well and I definitely get the flirtatious vibes from her lore with her dressup. The use of flower apparel gives her a very classic romantic look that I really enjoy and the matching plague eyes is just the cherry on top. Such a lovely cohesive dressup with fitting lore, bravo! [/columns] [columns]Yet another spiral! Bernardel is just so wonderful, I love the whimsical nature aesthetic of all the dragons on the third page but had to choose him as my favorite. I am a huge fan of his dress up, there are so many little details, and the mixture of golds and greens as well as that beautiful accent just work so well! I really love pairing the gold silk veil with the hat he makes me think of a traveling bard or maybe some type of royal court entertainer, it's such a whimsical but also very luxurious dressup! It really gives her a sort of demonic or cult-like appearance that I find both interesting and wonderful. The use of the pollen shaker to create this red cloud around her and the luminous halo indicate to me that she is supposed to be some higher being or have some great power and this dressup really just makes her look so powerful and ethereal! I definitely wouldn't pick a fight with her. I love the rich reds paired with the paler pink and white it's just such a nice color scheme on the eyes and the dark accents from rose noxtide add a little bit of a darker element to her colors that I enjoy.[/columns] [columns]Can you tell I enjoy demonic aesthetics? Euria instantly caught my eye with those bright glowing eyes and pair that with the dark colors and overall creepy aesthetic with the dressup and wow you have such a lovely and mysterious spiral! I really enjoy the way Plague glowing just pops against the dark colors and also the smaller hints of red in the dressup it ties everything together perfectly. You just have such a good eye for dressups I'm amazed! Violante's colors are warm, soothing, and elegant and I just adore this combo so much! I never knew how nice beige capsule can look and the warm glow from the bee just makes this dragon so comforting to me! Pair the warm accents with the nice rich warm purple from shadow and wow you have such a cohesive and lovely XYZ color combo! The dressup is simple yet beautiful and really complement her colors wonderfully. Overall, just such an elegant and stunning imperial and a wonderful choice of genes![/columns]
