Here is a picture of the boulder that lives at the top of our hill:

It is big enough for a picnic for two. In 2018 I used it to watch the Woolsey Fire progress over the next ridge to the west. (Fortunately for us, it was moving west and not east!)

I like how different stones behave so differently because of the way they are built. Flint and obsidian are brittle stones in their own ways, yet diamond can endure anything.

Storygeek I like that picture. It could just as well have been taken in Norway, although the stones might generally be a little more grey than brown.
