The way the armor is positioned just doesnt make sense when you think about it. Take the breastplate on the Skydancer F pose for example. The armor at the base of the neck is going behind the wings, when it suddenly reappears near the bottom of the wing overlapping? Maybe it would make more sense if it looks like it were a new row of chitin, but the way that it is positioned makes it look like a continuation of the first row.
Just look at the differences on the Skydancer M and F bases.
First image you can see obvious differences. Why does the armor overlap on the M crest, but not the F? Why is the armor even over the M's crest in the first place? Armor doesnt have to be skin tight, but it certainly makes no sense floating. If you look at the chitin versus the rogue mask, you have one over the crest, and another under. Going by the chitin set's logic, the rogue mask should go over the crest which would make absolutely no sense.
Same situation with the breastplate. You've got a row of scales cutting over the lower wing feathers on the M pose, but the same chitin not on the Skydancer M pose. And these are just on the Skydancers, there are plenty of other inconsistencies on other bases that are just as bad.
The artists get paid to draw apparel for flighrising. There is always going to be small imperfections that cant be helped, but big glaring issues and imperfections like these are easily and should certainly be fixed.

No. Just no.
Remember: someone is *paid* to do these apparels. It is their job, and they are responsible for content that generates monetary income for this site (if by nothing else than thru the ads the everyday user sees). And as a whole the folks at Sotrmlight should be responsible to check that errors like those clippings like ... every single feathered breed and sub-optimal design choices like the two set pieces on Spiral males do not make it into the published content.
The bottom line is, things like this make it seem like the staff does not care about their production value - which we think is not the case. But there indeed appears to be a lack of artistic cohesion. As @Asmo said, the site requires art direction and/or quality control.
The very least they could do is correct these issues that have been pointed out multiple times by now.

I'm actually thinking similar about things like the RoR item last year (completely ignoring the colour stuff, I'm not opening that pandora's box rn) as it had a sudden lack of quality as well.
Kinda missing the right words right now, I have worlds most droning headaches at this moment, but it feels to me like FR lacks a game design document but for its art and aesthetic choices alone, making up things as they come instead.
Anyway, idk, I could talk a lot about this but at the end I feel like making elephants out of flies. Ultimately I just like FR and wish to see it grow.

There is no reason to not open the chests, right? Like, you can't put them on the AH or use them somewhere else for something.

Gosh this armor is beautiful, but the way it clips on several dragons is disappointing. I would really like to spruce up my girl Evangeline with it, but the breastplate doesn't look right, especially by the wing.
