I can understand why some people don't want to see ancient genes being made available for modern breeds, as it does take away some of their uniqueness.
But I don't think the release of mosaic/breakup means that they are planning on making ALL ancient genes available for modern breeds, even the non-line-breaking ones. No reason to jump to conclusions and get upset over something that might not even happen.
That said, I would really love to see either blossom or ragged/tear (or both!) released to modern breeds, as I would put them on SO MANY dragons. Especially blossom. Perfect for my nature lair. Just so long as ancients retain at least a few exclusive genes.

I for one am all for releasing more modern genes on ancients and the other way around. What drives me towards ancients is the lore, though, so it may be a tad different from most... I would love to see i.e. swirl and marble on banescales, as well as Lionfish / noxtide since they have huge wings on the female that would display the genes quite well.

I never personally liked these genes. They look ugly to me. I would've rather had blossom come to modern dragons, I'd use that on almost all of mine lmao
