There is always someone enabling toxic behavior. Well, Caramuru is that person for Bituca. Completely enamored with her, partly because of her cursed form, the Wildclaw is the best at navigating her powers, and was the one to fully circunvent her outbursts into something productive – as the case may be, that happens to be the clan's defenses, guiding and deploying her harpy form to combat whenever the need arises.
He loves her, he does. He's the aftercare master, cherishing and treasuring her in and out of harpy form, being her undying loyal mate and spouse, whispering kind and reassuring words of love.
But of course, there are many in Porto who don't agree with his enabling of a curse that afflicts her so, and aren't shy of saying he should, instead, be helping her find a way to lift her curse instead of making her feel valued for keeping it.
Caramuru could not care less for their opinions. A strong and violent warrior in his own merit, with a long list of hits from when he was Robbie's own hitdragon, Caramuru is himself a controversial figure, as all of Porto knows of his previous exploits. Bituca and him often keep to themselves, their own quarters and town house. Caramuru is only ever seen outside when he's escorting Robbie here and there, meaning he's more often than not associated with his ward than with her, which helps mitigate some of the nastier rumours and criticism.
On his meager spare time, he can be seen silently drinking, and specially smoking at the wall besides the Gilly n' Gull pub, usually on nights Jenny and Ada are there, many assuming he's escorting them on his free time on Robbie's behalf. He isn't. Caramuru does enjoy smoking his cigarettes and watching the waves roll, and he'd argue Jenny and Ada don't need protection.
