Just saw Turning Red. It was really cute; I enjoyed it a lot.

went on vacation last week and watched Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City on the plane - some good ideas there, but unfortunately not super well-executed imo. I think they tried to do too much in one movie so it really left no room for the plot to develop or characters to really shine! lowkey wish they had tried to do a tv show adaptation of the first couple RE games instead, esp since I did really like Avan Jogia as Leon. ah well
also saw The Batman!! I was a little uncertain because I had heard it was almost 3 hours but I dont think any of that time was wasted, I really enjoyed it. really did a great job of encapsulating the detective noir vibe that Batman was inspired by while still keeping the whole thing fun and interesting and not overly "realistic". the cast was excellent, and I loved the interpretation of the Riddler in it, he's one of my fave Batman villains :)

Encanto! I watched it with my mother; the last movie we watched together was Coco, which we both loved, and by the time we finished Encanto we were both... underwhelmed. I was pretty much like yea, it's a Disney movie. It was beautifully animated and the songs were certainly catchy although I didn't actually like any of them except the Abuela's song at the end.The story was definitely good! Although it didn't emotionally resonate with me like... at all.
It was surprising to me because it's been dominating the internet so thoroughly in such a short time that I expected to be blown out of the water like other people seem to be and I was just...eh? It's a movie!

Encanto! I watched it with my mother; the last movie we watched together was Coco, which we both loved, and by the time we finished Encanto we were both... underwhelmed. Jack and Jill because I wanted to rewatch this one. Since I was childhood had watched. I can honestly say that is cheesy and kind of boring. I had laughed a few times. It's okay with me. This is not my favorite thing.
Happy Gilmore is the best comedy movie ever. I might plan to rewatch Paul Blart: Mall Cop. I remember this was my favorite scene, Paul got hurt himself then put on a Hello-Kitty bandaid. I was laughing so hard.
