Labyrinth.
Massive ramble time.
As someone who’d already seen The Dark Crystal had a lot of what I expected, very ‘80s. The puppets and effects were very impressive as always, though, and I liked the story for what it was. The fox character (I forgot his name) was probably my personal favorite, I loved his little sheepdog steed so much it was soooo cute! [emoji=skydancer love size=1] Some of the songs were pretty good too, the one where the goblin king was trying to cheer up the baby and the one with all the bird creatures taking their heads off stood out to me the most, idk they were pretty catchy.
Anyway I think my only gripe was that I wish some stuff was explained more, especially surrounding the villain who was named Jared (least intimidating name of all time). Like he’s the goblin king, but why is he a human? Why does he randomly shift into a barn owl sometimes? Was there some sort of significance to the dream sequence? What is with his huge… uh… y’know what I won’t talk about it. Idk I just think it would’ve been neat if his character was developed a little more.

Hi, I'm Fruit! I'm a digital artist, amateur fiction writer, aspiring musician (bass), but most of all: a professional idiot. My two favorite things are rock 'n roll and frillback pigeons.

I wanna say I rewatched Hot Fuzz? I don't sit down to watch movies ever, really. So this was a while ago.

The last movie I watched was Who Framed Rodger Rabbit. I heard lots of good things about it, so I watched it with my sister, and I'm glad I did. I had a lot of fun watching it with her! I hope I can sit down with my whole family and watch it with them one day.

Loved this movie as a kid, but the ending freaked me out back then, lol.

The last movie I watched was Corpse Bride. It's September. It means Halloween for the next two months! Haha. Corpse Bride is one of my fav movies along with Hocus Pocus and Sleepy Hollow.

Rewatched Bumblebee, the most decent TF movie so far (I hate you Michael Bay and your bayformers). As a movie on its own? It's meh. It doesn't have a solid plot, some things just happen. Even though bumblebee lost his memory him acting like a child after seeing him being an experienced fighter was kinda jarring. Though compared to the other TF films Bumblebee is amazing.
Started watching District 9, realised it'll have a lot of gore and turned it off when Wikus' nail fell off.

I watched Nightmare Before Christmas the other day. Haven't seen it in years but was one of my favourite films growing up, so much so that my parents only let me watch it between Halloween and Xmas because otherwise I'd be watching every day of the year lol.

popping back in to say a. I love hearing about all the stuff everyone's been watching! there's definitely several titles in here I've been thinking about watching lately as well
and b. @
FruitandFlour I also saw Labyrinth the night you made your post haha, I saw it in theaters for its 35th anniversary! there was a small retrospective feature that played before it, with some interviews with Jim Henson's children who were young while the film was being made - apparently Didymus (the fox creature with the sheepdog steed) was based on the Hensons' own family dog! Labyrinth is a long-time favorite of mine so I always have a good time watching it. I definitely do agree that it leaves quite a bit to the imagination, sometimes in kind of a confusing way!

Isle Of Dogs.
It was a cute movie, and I really liked the animation.
