Dhelmise is awesome, but I don't see many others that agree with this sentiment.

I love Sigilyph, but it seems to be one of those generally disliked Pokemon that most people view as "dex filler". Seeing other people listing it here makes me happy that there are others that also like it!
Fennekin is still pretty popular, but I'm mentioning it just because of how it's almost entirely overshadowed by its evolution Braixen. I just find Fennekin much cuter.
Vivillon is mostly dismissed because it's another early game butterfly, but it's actually really strong for one, and I love how it comes in so many beautiful colors. It was a hot topic for a while during Gen 6, especially with the GTS, but it feels like it completely fell off the radar once Sun/Moon came out.
As far as new Pokemon go, Orbeetle is pretty awesome! It also has a nice shiny. Not a lot of people seem to be really fond of the line, though.

Someone's probably said it. But Sigilyph is my favourite poke of all time. What wonderful and unique design. Also it feels so overpowered in normal battles and stuff... I guess it isn't, because it's not really used in the competitive scene, but my god i'd always have a sigilyph in my team

Aggron and it's pre evos have been a long time fave for me ever since I got Ruby way back when. Can't help but to love a chunky dinokaijuu! Speaking of Hoenn, I adore the fossils there too. Prehistoric invertebrates are so cool.
Not a lot of the Sinnoh natives really jumps out at me, though I like the evolutions they handed out like candy. Well, all of them except Magmortar.
Unova was where I last off and where I fell back in love with Pokemon. I got a lot of fond memories of the dex, and the whole Tepig line does not deserve the hate it got! It's my favorite starter line out of the series actually.
Everything after Alola kind of fell off my radar, but man was Alola one hell of bang. Yeah, there was the gregarious Kanto fanservice, but hey we got Crabominble and Palossand!
