Photo editing has existed long before any sort of computer software. Photographer's could modify their final products by adding light color or scraping off bits of their negatives, also darkening backgrounds or a few other manual techniques. Freckles and other skin conditions could be removed with a very delicate hand. Polaire here is a good example of Edwardian (1900s-1910) retouching. She did indeed waist train and tightlace, but this classic corset figure is, indeed, retouched. i have basically a bunch of animal facts

-horses cannot breath through their mouths
-when cats blink slowly at you, that means they trust you
-the national animal of Scotland is, you guessed it, a unicorn
-chickens can actually see a wider range of color than humans
-sheep recognize other sheep AND humans
-sheep also know which plants to eat to make themselves feel better when they are sick
-generally seep are not as dumb as portrayed
