I'm curious what everyone else might do in this situation!
Over a year ago I bought two G1 dragons, slapped some standard Baldwin genes on them, and then bred them constantly for fodder with the goal of each nests' hatchlings being named thematically named alphabetically. So for example, the first nest is all A names, the second B names, etc, and every name was generated via the randomizer, which was a blast with some of the "rarer" name letters.

Well, Alpha and Omega watched their Z kids grow up and get sent off to the gods and now...what should they do? I would really like the lair space that they take up, but I'm also kinda attached after over a year together? They're nothing special in terms of G1 colors/rarity, and I don't feel comfortable selling them to another player who might, in my opinion, "ruin" their theme.
Should they join Gladekeeper? Should they get some new genes and go for a second run through the alphabet? What else would you suggest?
I have two other pairs of fodder breeders going through similar feats, so I'll have to make the same decision twice more, which I'm not looking forward too. xD

I'd say another run through the alphabet. Fodder is always nice to have.

If you don't want to exalt them, maybe set them for a nap in the Hib Den until you're ready to let them go?
Seems the best thing, especially if you don't want the name scheme ruined ofc ^^
Or just go ahead and exalt but save their links somewhere - you can always look fondly back at them that way :3

I'd say go for a second run! (Or retire them to hibden if you don't have space in your nesting rotation.) If it were me, I'd want the "complete" offspring list to remain in my lair/den (and if you do keep breeding them it only gets more impressive over time).
I like Alpha a lot - he's got such a complex/unique color palette but he really makes it work.

Oh, I ran into this ages ago! I had multiple fodder pairs and kept them all around for a
while. But after… idk, months? years? I got tired of looking at them & wanted the space, so all but 1 got rehomed/exalted. I’m happy with
just the first guy hanging around :>
In other words, the pair doesn’t have to stay together if you end up preferring one and/or wanting the space bad enough! Otherwise, I second all of the above suggestions; hibden, second run, or even just exalt & save the links. Congrats on getting through the alphabet regardless, it’s super cool to see :D
