I only like my large lair because it fits my hoarding and fodder tendencies

TOPIC | Bigger or smaller lairs?
I'm a hoarder, so my first game objective was to max space lol. I tried to organize them, and not use pages if possible, mainly tabs.
I REALLY prefer smaller lairs. At least I prefer to keep mine smaller.
I used to have around 300 permas when I played years ago, mostly G1s, coatls. It was some sort of hoarding problem and too much attachement to all of them.
Now I only have 5 permas. Ive put much consideration into choosing the best ones, and if anything ill just maybe replace Murmur. Doesnt make sense to me to have more than 7 cause my lair are just wanderers, most of which fallen anyway. And cause theres no way to have more than 5 dragons in a single row, ill just stay with what i have now. MAYBE replace them with G1s if ill get lucky, iunno. Though they have parents so i think im just gonna stay with these puppies

big lairs... except for when they have like 10 tabs with 10 pages each.
I understand why people split their dragons across tabs for lore reasons, I just find it too hard to click through every single one of them when I'm looking for a dragon for a forum game, or stuff like that
I personally have 84 finished dragons split across three pages, which is a good amount and I think the fact that they're in rainbow order makes it a LOT easier to look through them too!
this tab/page is the best example of that since it has the most dragons!
edit: I do have a lot (and by a lot, I mean like 150+) unfinished permas as well, and once I've dressed and gened and sorted through those ones I may have to add another tab of them. but for now, my two tabs (technically three pages since one tab has another page) are perfect for me!

I think medium lairs tend to be a good size for keeping on top of lore and stuff while still having a variety of dergs- despite my dragon count, I'd consider myself a medium lair because my breeding projects lead to a lot of bloat. Having 5 dragons now for an eventual 1 dragon will do that, heh...

[color=3c352d][size=4][font=cambria]Don't think I can ever have a small lair but not a huge one either ? Or rather it'd take a long time to get to 500+ dragons that I would be 100% sure about never letting go - this said I think big lairs can still be easy to navigate if they are organized properly, like 20 dragons per tab more or less

I have both B]
My permas are in two tabs across three pages, about 30 dragons. Everything else is fodder-related or silliness xD

From when I joined up until about 3 years ago I always kept a small lair, less than 15 dragons at any time (most the first tab of my lair is the survivors of this..). My preference in other lairs then was for smaller ones too. I ended up losing interested in the game for awhile after completing 15 dragons and not really knowing where to go after that.
My lair isn’t huge compared to many others, mostly because I’m still selective in what I keep in it, although my preferences since shifted to absolute maximalism in my own lair and when browsing others.. I like large pages of dragons that look cohesive as a collective
