granted the insomina and rashes are very meek sytmons if we go by gameplay but the insanity is a deadly trait and can drive anyone mad! So if she was poisoned odds are the minor effects happening to her body are just a side effect from the main intent, causeing her to go mad.
it's so cool to see these things cannonized, and chemical warfair too. I'm so happy for this lore. This is a real love letter to all of the plagueflight =D

Vines crawled out from its body, while a tree and several saplings rose from its back.
“ALMON!” Morix landed in front of the Snapper. “At this rate the Scarred Wasteland will die. Did you know of this treachery?”
Almon stomped a front leg. “You have two eyes, Morix. Use them. The ambassador is not in her right mind, she’s been infected by something. I don’t care if it was intentional or not, if we don’t stop this now nothing-” Almon cut himself off as he saw a silhouette approaching Liefa from above, “ ...who is that? Curse you, Morix! Did you send another dragon to try and kill her?”
Morix squinted up at the sky, “No. That’s one of the Boneguard!”
Garote circled high above Liefa and the virulent explosion of green. He called down to his unlikely friend, but she could not hear him.
The Boneguard angled lower, flying beneath the canopy of the oak, hoping to get close enough to pull her away from the expanding weapon, but he’d underestimated the power of The First Seed. Vines erupted all around him, and as he turned to avoid a collision, more shot out, ensnaring his wings. The mighty Imperial fell, crashing into the roots that surrounded Liefa.
“Druid!” She didn’t respond, and there was no indication anything was left of the Ridgeback he knew. One of his wings wasn’t working right. He called out again, the thunder stolen from his voice as a thick cloud of spores choked his words. “Liefa...you must stop…” he reached out, his claw brushing against the enthralled druid. More vines burst from the ground, constricting around his forelimb and pinned his claw to the ground at her feet. “Liefa, survive...”
“...Garote?” As lucidity returned, she became aware of the injured Imperial in front of her. “Garote! But how?”

Plants exhale oxygen and inhale carbon dioxide. So, the hole would be for good ol' CO2.

The oxygen is a byproduct of synthesising glucose from light energy - but in order to use that glucose to make usable energy they need to respire, which requires oxygen. You can actually measure the O2 levels in a greenhouse over the day and they start dropping when it gets dark!

Also, that seed reminds me of this artifact from a game called The Valley. The Artifact is called a life seed and it grows from a tree, I think it is called the Behemoth actually, that is massive. It only grows once a millennia but it is capable of absorbing, amplifying and emitting life energy. It caused a mass extinction at least once in history. Pliocene maybe.

I've seen some people in the other thread freak out over the possibility of an Emperor forming in the wake of the use of the First Seed. However I'd like to propose a counter point.
Assuming that Emperors need mostly intact Imperial corpses to form, the First Seed absorbing anything it killed seems to have (thankfully) eliminated the risk of an Emperor.

This is one of the biggest takeaways from the lore for me. 4,520 years is an absolutely tremendous amount of time! For context, all of modern human civilization and development has occurred within the past 10,000-12,000 years.
It certainly makes you wonder how long draconic civilization has been around.
they had deites looking over them, unlike the beastclans and other civilications before them whom didnt have someone to look up to.
They didn't have to devlelop
they didn't have to have brain mutations to aid in their development and ect.
So for me the dragon civilization is rather young, but as developed in a shorter amount of time than "us".
