Shikasa is about due to get wet again, having her home in water means her scales need to get wet often or they dry out and get itchy. Going up the waterfall is right up her alley, and seems to perk her up a bit.

Ivanova glances up with a little doubt, than back to the snapper. Valena seems lighter than her, and as her wing is still acking... She sighs again, not counting how many times after this tour and wishing that she could pass these opportunities sometimes. But that ticket was sooo tempting.

Quark at least has the decency to look sheepish and help Genny up as she groans and tries to flap her wounded wing. Snappers are used to being landborne, as a rule, but Genny is quite fond of all of her limbs and enjoys keeping them in good condition, thank you. That's her favorite wing, too. She uses it to wing with.
Rallying, she inspects the gems with a fresh appreciation. As one of her...perpetually connected with Nature lairmates would say, "Duuuude, you gotta stay posi, my bro". She cracks a grin at Quark.
"Well, we'll take 'em home and see if we can swap 'em for something useful. There might not be a magic lamp down here, but if anyone has one, Tock does, and they sure do love them some crystals."
Quark commiserates with an agreeable growl.
"Onwards and upwards? By which I mean onwards and thatwards, on account of my back is aching even looking at that climb?"
The Voltspire Intruder growls again, and the two lumber off down the new path.

If Magnetrise is as deep as he suspects, climbing out of the hole would be tiring and unimaginably dangerous. He didn't want to risk dislodging more rocks from the gap, lest they bury the path and force him to go up more. He takes the upward-sloping road, hoping it would bring him to a better place than here.

Vesparian had enough. He was certainly too bulky to make that climb, so he went off on his own way. He was far too tired to deal eith what was happening in the tour.
