I love the contrast of dark parts of Ribbon against the main color block of his secondary, but I love how it even has dark parts to even out and match. My favorite part of him is the fluff around his neck, how the dark stripes flare out of the cheek fluff. I love how its apparel ties into all of the bright blues in its genes, and I love how the dark streaks in Noxtide complement the deep blues of Python. There’s so much movement in this dragon that I really adore. I’m just… positively in love with the Ribbon match here. The way the Ghost runs parallel the the pale, cream colored accents make it look like it’s just one gene, not two, and the red pulls in the secondary excellently. Toxin, too, was a perfect pick. This is the type of dragon I cite when I’m asked why I love Gen 1s— they’re so perfectly matchy in a combo that you’d never expect. I’m just… positively digging the aesthetic she’s got going on. I visited an old above ground cemetery once full of centuries old mausoleums, and she feels exactly like what it was like walking through that place! I can practically hear my own footsteps echoing across the stone pathways, can smell the dead, wilted flowers and just make out grimy photos inside the structures while I hear the echoed footsteps of mourners down other rows. Yeah just… wow! Next person: all my permas are gen 1, and I have a few tabs in the hibden!

I love goldenrod and have my own xxy boy but to have that as a gen 1 is unthinkable to me. The accent is also so good, boy deserves to snarl at everyone. I'm not sure whether he is royalty, or a god, or perhaps both. Either way I'd never want to make him angry. I've sometimes had trouble with lighter colors on stained as they sometimes wash colors out too much for my liking but the silver with the phthalo doesn't do that and instead creates this new color that's dream like, almost ghostly. And again, the accent matches so well with the black gradient and the cotton and veil just adds to the ethereal feel they have. Like I could come across him along the shore,staring out from the mist of a hazy morning. Using the black of the pharaoh to create a dark purple with a color like bubblegum is something I'd never thought to do! The golden shine with hints of pinkish-purple of the grapefruit on the wings ties him altogether into a beautiful boy. Instead of praising the accent again,because I can do that for all of your dragons, I'll say the background used for him is so color matched it's simply crazy how close it is. He is an absolute perfect specimen of an earth dragon I can't et enough! The way the smoke gene works against the contrast of the oilslick is just divine, and I find smoke to be such a hard gene to work with. The black smoke from his apparel along with the subtle purple from the scarfs on his accent are to die for. I'm just in love with him! Phthalo jaguar/rosette is one of my favorite combos and she wears it so well! The accent adding the fur and the small halo of dagger adds so much character, I want to know all about her!

The symbolic apparel pieces you added are spot-on, and the daunting and awe-inspiring anubis vibes catched my eye instantly. The combination of deep blue and golden colours is glorious, the choice of Pinstripe hits the nail (I never knew Iris had those pretty golden nuances in it?), and the carefully and perfectly chosen apparel pieces make his whole design cohesive and balanced, without covering too many details of the stunning skincent. The Veined tertiary is the cherry on top! The regal, noble, and protective appearance is gorgeous, and she seems like a paladin and magician to me, who guards and leads the royal army (or probably the clan doesn't even need one, because Oriana is powerful enough to fight all enemies herself). The effects are stunning, and I just generally love his mystic and divine creature vibes a lot. He's phenomenal, congrats! The contrast is wonderful, and his whole appearance magnificent. The divine vibes created by the golden wings and light primal eyes are breathtaking, and I also love how the accent plays together with the Chancellor Rings and the Tan Alloy secondary. Hiii @Luunai! I've condemned myself to one billion tabs open in my browser hell. I had to start really thinking about who to include as the choices I wanted to make piled up! Coal's warm grey does spectacularly with those copper accents, and her beautiful rare eyes emulate the transition from warm to cool, with the hazy blue of the grapes even tying in the fabric drapery from her accent. (I need to know who on the art team did the palette for the copper harvest set because it's The perfect set.) But I read her bio blurb and was further sold. We love a tragic lesbian in this household. The chinchilla broadband connection seems to be faulty and I hope they eventually get good signal so Enhver can maybe have crumb of comfort? You have so many beautiful perfect glorious spirals in your lair that it was very hard not to have them be all that comprised my review, but she had to make it in! [/columns] ----- [columns] So I'm always partial to the velvety quality of a dark primary that leverages a simple gene like fade. Alyzeia with her abyssal body (thought her primary was abyss at first in fact, ha!) is a great example of this. But what really makes me love her is the addition of a tertiary I think a lot of people would balk at: the beautiful seaglass green of algae. Because so much of her palette oscillates between coppers and dark blues, algae has plenty of room to come in as a clear tertiary color that sits perfectly between the other two. She makes a great analogous palette! I also love the care of giving her dark sclerae. Breeds with smaller eyes can often benefit from those polishing details even if they're not as prominent. It really helps sharpen her gaze and give her an otherworldly quality. A dragon who would absolutely rock the original sunchaser jewelery if I've ever seen one, though the pop of copper is not at all unwelcome against the patina of her belly. [/columns] ----- [columns] The sneaky synergizing of beige and tan's cool tones, and then using an accent who introduces some dark gradients is so clever. And they do a great job drawing the eye right to the lovely iridescent capsule. She absolutely embodies the look of a mystic, like her blood might course with a cure to some divine disease. I like that you tilted into adding more little gold metallic accents to really pull in the rings, since the curl of smoke they provide is so fitting. The layered candles are also just such a lovely addition to the overall look with their pop of creamy off-white. Yachak masterfully pulls it off here, his accent providing some cover to prevent the motif from being overwhelming and instead giving the impression of a subtle pattern on his face and at the base of his wings (my favorite bit for sure, it's so perfect against umber.) Not only that, but the choice to accent his palette with a bold red really really caught my eye. The dried flower set might be a more conventional choice, sure, but bright pops of red are so perfect against these murky green hues. Which -- speaking of -- I feel that ribbon and eel are under-utilized. Beige is THEEE propaganda for this set, look at that beautiful coloration and how it ties into umber blend. Augh. Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous, possibly my favorite in your lair. Not only he features my most favourite dragon breed & pose, male Guardians, but he is also one of the best examples why they are so gorgeous. The proud, protective, and awe-inspiring aura he is surrounded by catched my sight immediately, and he also wears an accent of one of my most favourite artists - and you made such fabulous use of it. I love the mystic forest vibes, the extra cultic aura given by the dark incense and the light balls of the cindersphere bauble (guiding you even deeper into the mystic woods? are they ghost lights or saving lights in the darkness?), and how the details seem to delve into his body. They perfectly match his colours, which [i]shine[/i] because of the perfectly chosen genes - perfection to the eye in every respect. (I know I said I'm drawn towards male pose Guardians with personal love, but I just wanted to point out that the Snapper scry in his bio looks [i]phenomenal[/i], oh my.) The accent looks like it was made for him, and the petals and cobwebs were a brilliant choice to add. His appearance reminds me of a mysterious and dark creature, and the shadow eyes, which stand out nicely, underline the impression that there is something dark and enigmatic about him, which makes him unlike compared to other dragons. In every case his aesthetic is different, and one of the best you have come up with. I just re-discovered my love for Thistle, and as always you put so much care into the little things: the pastel eyes, the dried flower pieces matching his accent, the perfectly balanced colours. First of all, you incorporated the accent in such a harmonic way: the lighter details match the Pistachio Toxin and the Ivory Opal [i]perfectly[/i], and the pastel, shimmering colours stand out on the dark body in an excellent way. You even carefully picked those wonderful pastel light eyes, which emphasize the eerie feeling because of the intense and piercing gaze, looking directly at you, catching attention, capturing you, giving you cold yet pleasing shivers. Kudos! Extra top 5 honorable mentions from your [b]lair[/b]: Sydney, Mabel, Valentine, Pepper, and Myers who really was [i]so close[/i] making it into the spotlight.
