Booped all this weeks shares once again! I love how simple but effective Kasirga's appearance is, the trailing storm looks like it's directly connected to his lightning primal and it's amazing! Aethyra and Willowsong are both absolutely gorgeous gals, their apparel and accents tie the look together so well and I feel like I know exactly what they're about just from looking at them ^^
Was a tough choice this week, but I figure I should save my single dressed water-element derg for next week probably lol, so here's my three water-adjacent kids!
To start with my favorite of the three, this is Cattail! He's my first NOTN hatch from last year and also first ever, and happened to be the exact color range for a project I'd been thinking about! Lore-wise, Cattail is a wild swamp dragon born from a light egg lost in the Driftwood Drag. His brain is much more animalistic and unrefined than most dragons' tend to be, but he's really a giant muscly sweetheart. (If you're a TMNT fan, think 1991 Tokka and Rahzar lol; youtube clip link in his bio if anyone's curious) He spends more time in the water than anywhere else, so he's supposed to be sort of a hidden lookout -- he tends to get distracted and do his own thing though, but his clan can't really blame him for that.
This is Squall, one of my two dressed pirates, the other who will also make an appearance here lol. Squall's the ghost of a pirate captain lost to time, whose legacy and deeds have been wholly forgotten. He doesn't have much power as a spirit, but he does what he can to dramatically appear to fellow pirates and give them cryptic clues either to his own story or about rumors he's heard on the winds -- when you've been on the seas for about as long as the seas have existed, you tend to know your way around pretty well. Whether or not those rumors and clues will be beneficial is a different story.
Finally this is Peril, the
living pirate captain! Peril's plague heritage gave him that desire to fight and prove himself via strength, leading him to piracy as it allowed him to fight others and plunder their wares as indisputable proof of his victory, making him quite rich in the process. Not long into this career, his ship and crew were utterly destroyed in a horrific storm at sea; Peril himself was nearly lost to the depths, when a
familiar spirit appeared before him and seemed to bring him back to the world of the living, placing him in the path of a passing merchant ship to a nearby shadow clan. Nursed back to health and inspired by his "vision", Peril decided to return to piracy as a force of good, using his previously "earned" money for the betterment of his new clan and defending innocents from the same kind of pirates he used to be. His name is no longer a threat to the weak, but a promise to the strong that there's somebody stronger. "Peril" indeed.
These weekly prompts are finally making me write down the lore that's been floating around in my head for ages lol, can't wait to see more entries!
