Night Court Fairies aren't fully documented yet, due to their size. Although their wings are bioluminescent, these faes are abnormally small staying under 30cm in length, with around 10-15cm being the most common. They use magic and swarm tactics to hunt insects. Despite their size, there have been many incidents where a swarm of thousands of these tiny bug-like dragons have attacked even large breeds such as ridgebacks, although the reason is still unkown.

Origin
Their ancestors can be traced back to a time before larger dragons have traveled to the Tangled Woods, when the flora was more luscious and Foxfire Bramble was a solid wall of deadly vines. With their tiny size, the Fairies could slip past that wall and lay their eggs under the protection of the thorns. Other small insectoids have chosen the vines as their homes too, offering plenty of hunt and practice for the growing hatchlings. Although the adults would often venture into the Grove or the Forum in search for food or nesting materials, they never traveled more than a day's worth of distance. Their tiny size meant they didn't stand much of a chance against larger predators. Then, slowly but steadily, larger dragons started traveling to the Tangled Woods.
With larger dragons, came larger problems. Some of the new clans have chosen Foxfire Bramble as their territory, pushing the ancient Fairies out of their home and into Wispwillow Grove. Modern Night Court Fairies have adapted to a life among the bioluminescent life of the dark garden, with their wings giving a faint glow when they interact with one another. These days, they can be found nesting sleeping inside flowers that bloom at night or hunting insects in wisteria trees.
Behaviour
Night Court Fairies are territorial, despite their size. They will not hesitate to tear a larger predator to shreds if it comes too close to their nests or hunting grounds. They move in swarms, perhaps for protection, for every activity wether it be social or practical. A Night Court swarm can be deadly if a dragon doesn't move away from their territory as soon as possible.
Their flight patterns are something extraordinary, due to their faintly luminescent wings and their seemingly random movements, although they're best enjoyed from a safe distance. They enjoy dancing, although their exact choreography has never been recorded in full.
Larger Fairies have been discovered. A Queen, who seems to lead the hunting swarms and a King who stays behind to look after the eggs and hatchlings. The smaller Fairies will generally stay around these two outliers, either to protect them or follow them. Multiple Kings and Queens can co-exist in the same swarm without disturbing the social order. Such an occurance though seems to be rare.
Habitat
Modern Fairies prefer to nest either in flowers that bloom at night or trees with luscious foliage, usually wisteria trees. Some swarms have been spotted in Foxfire Bramble, although their numbers seem to dwindle.
When looking for a place to call their own, a swarm will look primarily for a safe spot to hide their tiny black eggs. As such, the eggs have been found even in dead tree branches and ancient dragon bones. Secondly, they will look for a good hunting ground. That's why plant life ir preferable over dark caverns or holes in the ground. Plenty of bugs crawl along a tree's branches, a flower's stem or the skeletal remains of a giant.

These are the Fairies that used to live in Foxfire Bramble and hide their eggs under the thorny vines. They had the same social structure as modern Fairies, with a Queen and a King. They're believed to have gone extinct in modern years, although there's evidence to suggest a couple of them might have survived the arrival of larger dragons.
