you come to the librarys help desk and she just snorts at you and is like "its literally not my problem if youre too dumb to find a book :rolling_eyes:" and you desperately try to explain that that is in fact her job and also the library is an extradimensional space with some billions of books in it and she ignores you to keep reading her magazine (a teen gossip magazine several decades out of date). eventually just to make you go away she tells you where it is down to the adjacent books and the fact that it has a dog eared page. it is there. why does she know this.

astorias lived in the library almost her entire life and she doesnt remember before she was brought there- she knows shes adopted because Duh Obviously of course the woman who 1. is a coatl 2. is bright gold 3. married a Book would not have any dark blue veilspun children but she doesnt know the exact circumstances. as a baby she liked to read tomes of eldritch lore to look at the pictures and she was like mama :) wook at dis funny man :) where did his head go mama??? what is dat lady doing on da floor?? and sehanine was like oh god i should have monitored your reading much more closely
shes hooked up to her earbuds like theyre life support playing 24 hour playlists of cabaret, electro swing, regular swing, opera, and dubstep remixes of people screaming interspersed at random intervals just to keep her on her toes. astoria also has a fake playlist of like dragon justin bieber that she plays for anyone whos like what the hell are you listening to all day anyway
related to the music is that she was infatuated with her favorite singer and like printed out all of her songs and annotated them w hearts which lasted until said singer visited the library and was such a nuisance astoria was like . wow . i cant believe i wrote in to the surf n flirt advice column in starfish monthly about my crush on you.
