Hiii, I'm not deadpraise be to Mother. I've had a bit going on, new job, new projects, and banging my head against Necrolocke, but with all the new FR content coming out I thought a quick update was in order!
New Necromantic Symbol
Books and Maps, represented by Scroll Case Sling, Plague Tome, Healer's Reference set, Book Collection set, Illuminated Runescroll, Herald's Scroll, and Cartographer: A symbol of knowledge, tradition, lineage, succession, arcana, perpetuation, and the infinite. Necromancers bearing books or maps cast one eye into the past and one into the future, finding a way forward from the guidance of paths already walked. They are chroniclers, scholars, and cartographers, often serving as Inculcators to the Council and to their own clans. These Necromancers believe in the immutability of change, and seek power through the novel application of past knowledge.
This addition is long overdue, and books/maps are probably already being used by some Necros. A quick note: Festival apparel including Archivists Spellscroll, Cosmologist Fieldtools, Map Kit, and Airborne parchment aren't included among the official symbols out of respect of those Flights, however they are free to be adapted for individual Necros according to their lore and would count within this category.
New Council Factions
We have new community Factions that can be used in your Necro or Council lore! Thank you to @SixCrows for the Blighted Oracles, @WyldAngel for Carceris and The Bottle Collectors, and @Scorpiontail for the Nightshade Guild and The Coven! See lore below, and note that some Factions are open for leadership. Check out the full entries on the Council thread and feel free to submit an application if you have a Necro that meets the requirements!
New Familars and new additions to Symbols
The bonecarver apparel pieces have been added to Blade, Armor, Bone, and Mask symbols as applicable (this was a good apparel set for this subspecies...)
The following familiars now count as low-level familiars due to their themes of bones or battle.
The following familiars have been included as potential non-Plague familiars that have been converted to the cause, due to their having non-plague elemental alignments but tooltips that mention adaptation or are fungi-themed.
That's it for now, Necrolocke still in development!

The Blighted Oracles were created to take advantage of the loss of the Tidelord, and spread the influence of Necromancers by filling the void of Water’s now voiceless oracles with Necromantic ones. The Blighted Oracles’ focus is to increase the power and reputation of Necromancer’s amongst other flights, and prove themselves as trustworthy advisors in both matters of religion and more practical policies. They seek out clans that once relied on the words of an oracle that drew their power from the Tidelord, and offer their Plague-derived guidance to fill the void. Once well established as the clan’s trusted oracle, they begin to spread the doctrine of the Plaguebringer to their new clanmates.

Among the Necromancers there are few dragons who show as much magical prowess as the Necromancers of The Coven. These masters in their fields study many different things; like the untapped power of Ghouls, the magical energies within the wasteland, and prophecies from the Plaguebringer herself. Each member studies a different field within the faction, some focus more on the use of Ghouls while others study the effects of certain herbs on the body; very few are adept enough to receive messages from the Plaguebringer. Those few who can, however, become highly respected members and even leaders of their chosen profession. The Coven works closely with the Council, offering their services of divination to give insight on Council concerns and events that have yet to pass.

Imprisoners of The Seed; a task for the devoted and powerful. These Necromancers sit in meditation over the Seed, slowly mutating its blasphemous energy to Plaguebringer's cause. While it is a prestigious calling, few devotees care for the notoriety of their post. These Necromancers live in monkish contemplation on the meaning of "Necromancer" and the purest form of their virulent power. Most Carceris rarely leave their fortress around The Seed, choosing instead to send out messages to the Council for supplies or extra hands as needed. This leads to two distinct groups within the Faction: those who attend to the needs of the Faction, making sure there is housing, food, and providing general support; and the most devoted, who are bricked into the walls of simply outfitted cells to live their entire lives in philosophical contemplation and magical battle. The Seed, blight it, wants to grow. But the Carceris will rot that Life before it escapes its cradle.

After the creation of Ghoulerybox Fae as safe containers for virulent diseases, other Necromancers took up the study of the intricately worked creatures. Equal parts tinkerers and collectors, the group meets often to share research gossip and specimens. They take their work quite seriously and will argue for hours on obscure points; such as the best polishes to keep their collection shiny to detailed discussions of what familiars and trinkets make their little curios happiest. The rest of Necromancer society regards these collectors with bemused tolerance, outright confusion, or annoyance. The annoyance usually stems from being caught up in an unwanted and drawn-out conversation about classification systems or other Goulerybox Fae minutiae with a collector.

When the Left Hand points to you, Mother’s hounds will follow. Unlike other Assassin factions, The Nightshade Guild works outside the Plaguelands, and largely outside of Council acknowledgment or approval. Most Necromancers will preach that matters of life and death are best left in Mother’s hands, or in a dragon’s own, but the Nightshade Guild capitalizes on the awe their striped skin engenders in the untested by selling their services for profit. They do mercenary work, are thieves, assassins, and hired thugs, and trade on the Necromancer’s reputation to find work in clans across Sornieth. Within the Plaguelands themselves they are met largely with disapproval, and the only reason they are recognized as a legitimate Faction at all is because their acts inspire a certain sort of dragon to test themselves at the Wrymwound, and because sometimes even the Council has use for the underhanded.
