Biography
Council Rank: Perching
Symbol: Jewels
Bahari came from a long, prestigious line of necromancers. It was only a matter of course that she would pass her trials. In fact, she was a little disappointed that she did not do better. But she did not do poorly,
and had enough skill and charm to quickly make a name for herself in her chosen clan. Though the Clan itself was not particularly prestigious, it was enough to give her enough power to draw other necromancers to her side, and her ambition (just enough to be respectable for one of her heritage and class, she is careful to never let it seem as if she is reaching beyond what is proper) carried her to a seat on the Council.
Her policies encourage a more peaceful approach at spreading the Necromancer doctrine, at least on the surface. Her political focus is on good PR, and she adheres to the belief that if the Necromancers have a good track record and reputation that others will come to them peacefully, without risking any resistance due to dislike of violent tendancies. Of course, Bahari has no qualms about using force secretly, and keeps a powerful assassin as part of her entourage.
The rest of her entourage consists of her Necroservus assistant, and another young necromancer, who has begun a model career in politics.
Bahari's current political push has been to expand the power of the Necromancers by filling the void left behind by the voiceless water oracles with oracles like Bahari, who divine the future from the spread of illness and decay, rather than the path currents and bubbles.
When Bahari is not in the Council Tower, she is at her home clan, putting her policy into practice. She draws people of power from far and wide, who seek to prove their strength, worth, or ability to survive. Warriors who wish to peacock their invulnerability and young rulers who want the blessings of Bahari's goddess are her most common customers. Or perhaps visitors is a better term, Bahari never charges. At least, not officially. Her visitors often bring her riches as offerings in hopes of currying her favor.
Her fortune telling abilities are mostly reserved for the use of her clan mates and other Necromancers who seek guidance, but if her Goddess speaks to her at any point, she will voice the message, no matter the recipient.
