Aah man, Female Fae. It's one downside of what I breed and it's why I always go scrying females first, in case one of their colors shows up dorky. Case in point - Crimson Shimmer. THAT IS NOT CRIMSON. Crimson is one of my favourite colors. WHY CRIMSON WHY.
Argentum Sez
Oh Louve is so very pretty! And a double! And an earthy colored Fae like me! My turn!
So we'll take two paths with this - the 'treasure is no object' and the 'treasure is absolutely an object'!
Something that is amazing, especially with Fae, is that the brown colors turn absolutely beautiful with Iri/Shim. Shimmer on us Fae is just spectacular! What's really cool in this instance is that the Brown Shimmer is distinct enough from Brown itself that you can use cool genes like Smoke and it still shows up very visibly!
Here is an Iri/Shim/Smoke Louve.
But you know what also works on her? Gembond. If you're wanting to play up on that Earthy look, Gembond makes her look like a pretty shiny little pebble. Like this!
But if Iri/Shim aren't to your tastes...then Stone is one of my favourite colors because it's up there with Sky, Ivory and Rose - as in, it has a beautiful pale off-accent color! That makes Ripple and Clown really good contenders, if you want to play up that stark accent. And so does Brown! Eye spot here might be fantastic. Seraph will work just as nicely. This is what we would go for, looking at treasure-only, easily obtained genes. Gembond could be used in place of Underbelly.
