Ohh how tricky! It feels wonderfully to hear the voices of dragons again, but something just feels... off. Everything about this place comes across as too good to be true. And singing dragons? Here? Ones knowing that somebody is approaching no less? No, no, that can't be. There's only one reasonable thing to do here:

2. Go in a different direction instead.

If Flash didn't have things to do and the need to get back home he would consider staying here longer. At that point is when Flash started to hear the singing. They seem to be telling him where to go. It could be a trap but where else would he go if he didn't follow and maybe he could at least ask them for help if he found them. So he decided to do what the voices tell you to do.

// Thursday // Have map? Yes // Follow the voices?

The wildclaw was so tired of wandering through the tall grass and past the massive thick trees with nothing to see or climb on that he was getting bored. When he stopped to get a quick drink from the lake, he started to hear voices. Whispers.

Looking around, he still saw nobody but these voices were whispering something...and he really wanted to snoop. Perhaps what is being said may be helpful in reaching the Aergate a little faster?

Vykos then proceeded to approach closer with calculated movements as if he were to hunt his prey. Quietly he inched closer, often staying hidden behind a prickly bush or behind a thick tree stem as he darted forward. His red eyes were always on alert scanning the surrounding area for anything that moved.

Being comfortably positioned behind a wall of tall closely grown bamboo shoots, the dragon listened in on the voices up ahead...

Looks like Spellreader finally got something right! After thinking for far too long, he had finally realized the truly obvious question to ask, and now he is heading down the path the harpy that tells the truth told him to take… Spellreader blew his breath out slowly. How had he not realized it was that easy? Riddles always had a trick to them! Well, at least he had figured it out eventually, and now he was heading down the correct path. Only…why was there a Waterfall here, blocking his way? The Bookmage frowned. Perhaps…he had not asked the right question after all? Asking what path he should take, without clarifying what he wanted to do at the end of that path—such as get home—might not have been that smart…what if the harpy had interpreted “what path should I take?” to mean “what path do I need to go down in order to continue to have a very long, very dangerous adventure?” Spellreader swallowed. Maybe he hadn’t been that smart in his choice after all…. Staring at the crashing water, Spellreader suddenly felt a little ill. Swimming was not his forte, and he knew all too well how waterfalls could create whirlpools underneath them. The Ridgebacks of the Clan were full of horror stories of terrible undertows and innocent fishing dragons caught for centuries in the depths, continually bobbing up to the surface only to be driven down under again by the force of the water. He could not try to cross in front of this thing. Could he, perhaps, go behind it? The Bookmage launched himself into the air, trying to see behind the crashing water. Was there an opening there? The mist and the spray made it very hard to see, but there might be something…Spellreader yelped in pain as a wind gust drove him hard towards the ground. He was still not able to fly, it seemed, which meant he could not simply fly over the stream and its waterfall, and it also meant, he noted unhappily, that he would not be able to see behind the curtain of water. If he tried to cross that way, he would be going in blind. Shuddering, he tried not to think about what that could mean, but the vision of a steep drop into deep water filled his mind anyway. No, he could not go behind the waterfall, either. So, what did that leave? The Bookmage frowned again, and pulled his book around in front of his eyes. Was there anything here that could help? He had all the words he could want at his disposal. Surely he could come up with something that would enable him to get across a waterfall? Spellreader began to flip through the book, glancing at random words. Bridge? No, not with a waterfall in the stream. The currents of water and air near it would be too strong for the Bridge to last. Drought? Maybe…but did he had the power to dry up a waterfall this large? Probably not. Swim? No, definitely not! Shutting the book with a snap, the Spiral suppressed a growl of frustration. It had been so easy when he was looking for a word to help him with the pendant—The Pendant! Quickly, Spellreader reopened the book, flipping to an earlier page. Tapping the word “recover,” he focused on the Pendant that the strange Spiral had given him, envisioning it in front of him again. With a soft “pop” the Pendant dropped out of the air into his outstretched paw. Spellreader grinned, and slipped it over his neck. The Pendant had been given to him for a reason. Why not try to use it to get across the stream? Wasn’t that what was supposed to happen in adventures? Magical items were given to you to help you out of difficulties, and this was definitely a difficulty. Nodding in satisfaction, Spellreader tapped the green stone on the front of the Pendant and waited expectantly… Choice 1: Try to use the amulet Hmmm…Spellreader seems to be making a lot of assumptions here….such as that he knows how to use the amulet correctly…

Choice 1: Try to use the amulet

Hmmm…Spellreader seems to be making a lot of assumptions here….such as that he knows how to use the amulet correctly…
