In his heart he knows she didn’t leave because of him but he can’t help the claws that grip his heart when he gets like this. Thinking of her, the shadow toned imperial that graced his early life by never leaving him in doubt, left him in a quickly souring mood. His very soul quivered at the thought of finding her again. Careful not to wake his clan mates he walks outside to look at the sky expecting harsh grey clouds like it has been for the pass few days but instead was greeted by vast cosmos shining from above. He sits with a small smile as he recalls one of the final nights he spent with his mother. “Aladyn” Neal smiles “Have I ever told you the story of how the stars came to be?” “No Mama.” he inches closer to his mother to hear the tale. “Well once long ago, before the dragon gods came to be the world was filled with strange beings.” “You mean the old gods mama?” she smiles “Yes my love, you see one of the night gods fell in love with a goddess of the sun, their love was forbidden but that didn’t stop them from meeting each morning and evening, washing the world in wonderous colors.” “What happened to them mama?” Aladyn smiles as he watches the stars cascade across his mother’s deep blue markings as she shifts to look up. “They were discovered, the night god was sealed in the moon as punishment while the goddess was forced to watch him from afar. The two were broken, years past and the goddess started to deteriorate no longer willing to carrying on without him. She ventured into the land of night and screamed to the gods that they could no longer stop her, as she raised her knife she froze because before her eyes the bleak darkest erupted into light. This was the birth of the stars, moved by the moon gods determination he was freed and they were allowed to meet twice a day but no more in order to retain balance.” “Wow mama!” he jumps up and runs around her “That’s amazing! They are so coool!” he drew out the word. “I’m glad you think so, now off to bed you.” Sighing he stands feeling slightly better he looks up to the star filled sky “Mom, I swear, I will find you one day.
