Backstory
Bluemoon stared down at the small, iridescent scales in his talon. His brother's scales. June... he thought solemnly. His charge, his brother, the one he was meant to protect. June was a small thing. His mother, sister, and even his father didn't know what had caused his small size. But either way, it was Bluemoon's sole purpose to protect his smaller, yet slightly older brother at all costs. Now he was lost, with only a handful of his brother's shed scales to remind him of his failure. He should've known better than to trust his bad sense of direction...

He was lost. Bluemoon had been trying to find his way out of these woods for days. But he couldn't find the exit, no matter how hard he tried. So he picked a direction and started walking, only stopping for food and water. He missed June... His poor brother was probably worried about him. And Bluemoon would be lying if he said he wasn't worried, too. June was small, scrawny. Not big and bulky like other Imperials. And June was his charge, too. He, in a sense, lost his charge. He knew, deep down, June would be fine without him for however long it took him to get back. Their mother was there with him, and could keep him safe. But he still worried.
Maybe, if he found another clan, they might be able to help him find his way back... Was this what it was like to be his father?

Day #2: The Home of the Curse|Apr. 26, 2024
Bluemoon knew of his father and the curse that lay heavy on his brow. He knew he had found peace, but he was not sure if he could. He was still lost, but somehow, he wondered his way to where his father was cursed. He was wary not to be cursed himself, but he did see something very strange.
It looked something like a dragon, but it was not in any shape he had ever seen. It was small, but radiated power. It crawled out of a hole in the ground like a worm, and cooed softly
"You are one of written skin, frozen in time on a mindless god's whim." And then it bit him.
The wound healed very quickly, but Bluemoon sensed hidden knowledge in it.

Bluemoon's sister, Aseneth. A Guardian like him, her charge is that of animal pelts. She left the Forgotten Kingdom on her own terms to go find another interesting place to live that has other interesting pelts.
June; Brother
Bluemoon's brother and charge, June. Named by their father, the small Imperial is actually the middle child of the nest, making him slightly older than Bluemoon. That didn't change the fact he was Bluemoon's charge, though. If only he could get back to his brother to continue his duties...
Mr. Teeth; Metafictional Encounter
This bizarre monster was Bluemoon's first witness of the new breed, dusthides, and not a very good one. He held a strange power inside his mouth, and imparted to him with a scaring bite.
