"When I had taken care of them, I thought there was nothing left inside of me... that I was just an empty shell. But then I heard her voice... and suddenly the light I believed lost to this world returned in full beauty and splendour..."

When Tiberius was born, the only family he had to welcome him into this world was his father. His mother was gone, and his clutch siblings never saw life outside of their shells. Of course they were all together once, but that was before a bandit attack on their clan saw it razed to the ground. In the panic and carnage, Tiberius' father, Bacchus could not allow himself to flee without trying to save at least one of his hatchlings. And so, the Fae snatched an egg from the nest at random, clutching it close to his chest as he flew into the night, choked by the thick smoke rising from below. Knowing of a Monastery nestled away nearby in the very same region of Dragonhome, Bacchus knew they would not turn away a father and his unborn hatchling seeking shelter. And so, this was to be the birthplace of Tiberius, and he was his father's entire world. But when the Tundra came of age and learned of his mother and sibling's shared fate, he was consumed entirely by hatred for those who had cut their lives short. Unbeknownst to his father, he worked with Trajan to determine the identities of those who had wronged his family.

Once he had their names, he left the Monastery to hunt them down without a second thought. Consumed by anger and grief, the Tundra hunted them for months on end, rarely stopping to rest. His fur grew wild and untamed, his claws grew long and fierce, and his body became strong and muscled, toughened by his relentless search. Eventually he found who he sought. All the anger and hatred within Tiberius burned away in a blaze of fury, and when the deed was done, there was no more fight left within him. His family was avenged, but still they were not with him. This realisation made the valiant Tundra's heart ache with pain he never knew possible. He collapsed in his grief and exhaustion, and for some time, he had nary the strength to urge his legs to carry him home. It was in this state he heard the whisperings of Gladekeeper, who urged him to find strength and resiliency within himself, and she reminded him that his father fretted and prayed always for his safe return. Mustering all of his strength and courage, Tiberius began the long journey back to his father, and to his home, all the while embracing the spirit of Gladekeeper. Following this, Tiberius took a strict vow of peace, and never again raised a claw nor bared a fang against another. His return was greeted to much joy and celebration by his clanmates at Deity's Rest Monastery, with none more overjoyed than his father to see him home.

Bacchus' son? Hmph. He's got a good heart. Had a bit of a troubled past, but... I can relate to how he must have been feeling. Not many understand it. I was glad when he returned in one piece.

He had the makings of a great warrior. But the fire within him burned too brightly, too quickly. It is a shame.

My pride and my joy... I wish I could have done more for him. For them. He carried such a heavy weight on his shoulders when he left that day. I did not know peace until he returned.
