 Deity's Rest Monastery |
Location:  | Icon:  Deep in the heart of Dragonhome, lies Deity's Rest Monastery. It is a grand structure, carved by the claws of ancient Earth dragons. Many gather here from all walks of life, however they all share one common trait that binds them - their unwavering faith in the gods. Over time, Deity's Rest has become something of a tourist destination for dragons visiting the region, which the Monastery residents have leaned into wholeheartedly. Inns, shops, and market stalls line the pathways along the clan grounds, welcoming curious visitors and pilgrims alike. |
Faction Name: The Faithful | Icon:  The Faithful call Deity's Rest their home. Although each one offers something unique to the Monastery, they are all here for a common purpose - to worship and celebrate their gods in their peaceful existence. They are devout in their practices, calling upon the gods to assist them in their trades, be it healing, the creation of art, message delivery, hospitality, or otherwise. Truly the backbone of the Monastery, they reside under the watchful protection of the Fangs, their Shepherds, The High Chimera, and The Divine Hydra. |

Faction Name: The Fangs | Icon:  The "Fangs" of Deity's Rest are holy soldiers tasked with defending the Monastery from any danger it may face. Each Fang is proficient in combat, whether it be with weapons or magic. Likening themselves to the maw of a savage beast, their key value is to work as a team with combined strength, rather than fighting alone as weaker individuals. Although they are undoubtedly strong, their battle prowess is little when compared to the mighty Divine Hydra. |
Faction Name: The Shepherds | Icon:  Shepherds are charged with guiding and teaching the Fangs in combat arts. From a young age, a Fang is assigned to a single Shepherd's flock. Shepherds do not assist each other in the caring of their flocks; they each have their own flock that they individually watch over. As such, there is a strong competitive nature between the Shepherds to raise the toughest and most skilled warriors on the battlefield. They have less authority than The Divine Hydra. |

Faction Name: The Spiritual Leaders | Icon:  The Spiritual Leaders at Deity's Rest guide the other clan members in their worship of the gods. They are tasked with holding religious ceremonies and festivals, as well as the day-to-day delivery of sermons and upkeep of temples. Their level of authority is on par with the Shepherds, and they have less authority than The Divine Hydra. |
Faction Name: The High Chimera | Icon:  The High Chimera is the term used to refer to an elite group of dragons at Deity's Rest Monastery. They are the pair of eyes watching from a distance, they are the cold chill down your spine, they are the arrow aimed and ready to fly. It is the High Chimera's job to ensure the utmost level of security for the residents of Deity's Rest. This can entail all manner of things, from keeping a watchful eye over outsiders, to assassinations of enemies. They report to Trajan. |

Faction Name: The Divine Hydra | Icon:  The Divine Hydra is the term used to refer to a very important group of dragons in Deity's Rest Monastery. Each dragon represents a "head" of The Divine Hydra, and belongs to one of the eleven elements. They are holy warriors, each one a master of their element, and their faith in the gods is unparalleled. The role of The Divine Hydra is to act as the Monastery's last line of defence, as well as punishing any who act against the gods. They have a high level of authority, second only to the Patriarch. |
Faction Name: The Divine Protectors | Icon:  Minor Deities are attracted to this sacred place, their curiosity piqued by the devotion displayed by the dragons here. Although usually choosing to remain unseen by the naked eye, their presence is often felt at altars, in empty corridors, and under darkened door frames... |
