Bistromathic
The Chef Concocter
"This new cauldron Baldwin made is fascinating! Are you sure I can't set one up in the lair?"

While his mate Heart-Of-Gold might be banned from the clan larders, Bistromathic practically lives there. Born to the clan philosopher and a wandering soul, Bistromathic grew up disappointed in the lack of food complexity within the clan. Most of their food was raw, plainly cooked or smoked, suitable for quick meals and travel rations for training groups. But when he travelled to the trading post, accompanying anyone who would accomodate the curious hatchling, the smells!! Food vendors from all over, fire dragons smoking meats, plague or nature dragons grinding spices!
Thus he took it upon himself to section off a piece of the lair, set up a large cookfire and oven, and start making food better. He trawled the markets for exotic ingredients, pestered the gathering team for more supplies, and chattered with guests about meals from other parts of Sornieth. For a while, everyone was banished from the new kitchenspace as he experimented and when he emerged, he was making custom feasts that, startlingly, everyone enjoyed.

No one who comes to his kitchen and is willing to take a little 'grilling' goes away hungry. Though the questions he asks aren't what you'd expect a chef to ask...
"How many people are in your immediate family?"
"How much treasure do you have on you at the moment?"
"How many utensils do you actually plan to use?"

Whatever calculations that lets him make, the results are universally met with enthusiastic approval. It's said Belael is very interested in how Bistro knows everyone's preferences, but Heart of Gold makes him too nervous to approach. Bistro is well-intentioned but rather bizarre, really a perfect fit for his mate. They'd initially bonded over the idea of putting dried leaves in water to flavor it (which no one had the heart to tell them had already been invented as tea) and have gotten along famously ever since. For whatever reason, her luck effects don't seem to extend to his cooking, but it doesn't seem to matter.

To be fair, some of his more ambitious projects are only edible to Imperials and Guardians, especially after his introduction to Baldwin and what he now calls 'culinary alchemy'. And really the alarming part is that what comes out of the cauldron mostly isn't soup. If it tastes good, just don't ask what's in it. Cognitive dissonance is not a nice thing.
